Stampin' Up! New Salebration Sets- And a Cool Background Technique
Kim's Card Class - Part 2: Featuring Stampin Up Cards : Occasions Catalog

Kim's Card Class - Featuring Stampin Up Cards : Occasions Catalog

Tonights class was great. It was a packed hall. Everyone showed up to stamp, even with the snow fall.

There were a few new stampers, so I was busy scurrying about helping everyone with their stamping, thus, once again, I didn't get a chance to take people pictures. One of these days, I will have time and remember!

But, of course I have the projects to share, as I took the photos of the cards before class started. I will have time to share two now and I will share the other two cards tomorrow.

The first card is made with the Rose Wonder Stamp set from the Occasions Catalog. I embossed it with gold emboss powder and colored it in with an aqua painter using melon mambo and mint macaron inks. I used the ink from the lid of the ink pad. ( close ink pad and press lid into ink, open pad and dip aqua painter into the pool of ink on the lid). I used water color paper. It much thicker and can take a lot of water and coloring. Plus, its got such a beautiful texture.

The second card is made with the Apple of My Eye stamp set from the Occasions Catalog. I decided to use the pear this time. I've used this set many times, but I haven't made a card with the pear until now. I love the pear!

I did a quick fun random stamping technique. The ink colors are pear pizazz, wild wasabi, tip top taupe and blackberry bliss for the splatter. The splatter stamp is from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set. I used whisper white and wisteria wonder cardstock. It turned out pretty cute.

Thats all I have time for now, ladies and gents. Its almost 1:00 am and I am beat.

Be sure to come back tomorrow to see the other two cards that we made at Kim's Card Class.

Until then...

Keep on Stampin' and Come back again soon!
