Stampin' Up! Remarkable You Stamp Set- Gorgeous-ness
Stampin' Up! New Salebration Sets- And a Cool Background Technique

Timeless Textures and Apple of My Eye set featuring the Peach

The more I use this set, the more I want to use it. Its just so sweet- literally. All the juicy fruit and fun colors that can be used with this set is endless.

Today, I am using the Apple of My Eye set in combination with the Timeless Textures stamp set. They are both sets out of the Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog. Normally, I wouldn't have thought to put these two sets together because one is more whimsical and fun and the other is more eclectic, rustic and vintage looking.

To my surprise, once I started playing around with them, they actually look quite nice together.

First, I used the "rock n roll" technique on the peach image. I inked the peach with pumpkin pie ink and then rolled the edges only, in calypso coral. This gives it the cool two tone look.

I used sahara sand and stamped the border around the cardstock with the rectangular stamp in the Timeless Textures set. I added the flor de lis in the same color. I then used smoky slate for the cross pattern stamp and soft suede ink for the splatters.

I layered the peach on a strip of burlap ribbon and a strip of gold glimmer paper. Just for fun, I attached gold thread and gold metallic sequins for some bling. I used multi purpose glue to attach the sequins and a dimensional holds the metallic gold thread in place.
