I've got a quick and easy card and technique to share with you today. Once again I've used the Watercolor Words stamp set, but this time, I've used the flower images to make this fun card.
I've actually used two different stamping techniques on this card. The outline edging technique and a simple favorite, sponging with sponge daubers.
I used elegant eggplant, wisteria wonder, soft sky, and old olive inks to stamp the flowers and leaves as well as the striped background and the greeting. I then sponged in the color with sponge daubers. This is such a quick and easy way to color outline images. Not to mention, it gives the flowers a soft, delicate look.
You can see that I've done the outline edging technique here. I stamped the entire card, except for about a 1 3/4" space from the bottom. This gave me enough room to cut the outline of the flowers and still have room to stamp the greeting below.
I love stamping the insides of cards with a pale ink color in a cute pattern, like this Brushstrokes background stamp shown here.
The inside of the card.
A few rhinestone jewels add a sweet sparkle to this simple and sweet card.
That's my quick tip and techniques for the day.
Go ahead and give it a try!
Thanks for stopping by.
Until the next time...
