Stampin' Up! Swap and Incentive Trip documents

I received a long awaited packet in the mail last week. It was our flight itinerary, luggage tags, passport case and agenda for the Stampin' Up! All Expense Paid Trip for Two to Thailand!

I'm so excited to be traveling with my daughter on this trip. Total girl time! We have also decided to stop in NYC and Beijing China on our way to Thailand.

Lots of planning and packing to do to get ready- but it will be worth it.

My passport case all wrapped in the new pretty peek a boo peach ribbon.

And inside is all the goodies. Aren't those elephant luggage tags adorable? We get new luggage tags each trip, depending on the destination and the theme of the trip.

IMG_5451

During the trip, Stampin' Up! sponsors an optional card swap. I decided to use the new Climbing Orchid stamp set and dies.

I think this is such a gorgeous stamp set. I haven't decided yet, if this will be the actual swap. I may tweak it here and there or change the colors or layout. I haven't quite decided - but I am loving creating many beautiful orchids with it, for sure.

  IMG_5515

I used peek a boo peach and berry burst cardstock and inks for the flowers and lemon lime twist for the leaves. Its a simple "protoype" right now.

Here's a close up: Notice the fabulous Glitter Enamel dots. Love those sparkly things!

I'll be sure to post the finished swap before I leave. It may be similar to this one or I may just change the entire card. Who knows? But I am enjoying this set so very much!

Thanks for stopping by.

Until the next time...

Daisy Delight - Super Colorful and Fun

This card that I am sharing today was made with the Daisy Delight bundle. The bundle comes with the stamp set and the coordinating Daisy Punch. One thing that I want to mention is that only the stamp set is available right now. The Bundle and the Punch will be available on June 26th.

This is a great set to play around with. And it looks great in any color that you pair it with. I decided to go with melon mambo, calypso coral and lemon lime twist. I love bright colors, so this was so fun to create and it makes me happy to use all these super colorful inks and cardstocks.

IMG_5400

On this card, I used the Stampin white chalk marker to make stitched lines around the basic black cardstock. Makes it pop a little bit.

IMG_5406

Here's a close up of the detail- the black metallic thread and the new Clear Fauceted Gems. I also used the Brushstrokes background stamp in Lemon Lime Twist ink. I am a big fan of background stamps and I own every one that we carrry!

IMG_5404

This stamp set has so many darling images, I had to try to use them all. So, of course I added some fun stamping on the inside of the card. As you can see I used the basic black cardstock 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 as the base of the card and used the whisper white (10 1/2 x 4) as the actual card. Kind of a neat variation to the basic card.

IMG_5407

This one I used the basic black bakers twine instead of the black metallic thread, behind the flower image.

IMG_5403

Here's the whole fabulous bunch. The brighter the colors, the happier it makes me!

Wood Words Variation

I have a quick post on a simple variation of the Wood Words stamp set that I used on my previous blog post. I used the same card fold and colors as well as the same two stamp sets, Wood Words and Label Me Pretty.

I only changed a few things to make this card look a little different.

IMG_5435

I added the beautiful cluster of flowers from the Wood Words set in crumb cake ink and I also used the new Wood Textures designer paper stack.

IMG_5436

The same simple Z fold- you can check out the blog post previous to this one for the measurements and tips.

IMG_5437

I also used very vanilla cardstock on the inside of this one.

IMG_5434

Thought I'd share this one with you, as you can basically use all the same supplies.

I just received my box full of more new Stampin Up stamps and accessories, so I will be playing with my goodies tonight.

Stay tuned for some new creations coming soon!

Thanks again for stopping by.

Rooster Note from the Wood Words stamp set

The card I am sharing today is a simple Z fold card made with the Wood Words stamp set. I think this set should be called Farm Fresh, because its all the things that we would see on a farm, including a rooster!

I wanted the card to look very rustic and earthy. So, I used the colors, early espresso, crumb cake, cherry cobbler and whisper white.

IMG_5310

The Z fold on this card is very simple and easy. I folded the card base (11" x 4 1/4") in half, then I simply folded the front flap of the card up to meet the fold on top.

IMG_5313

The Hardwood background stamp was used to give the card that rustic bark look. I also used the new Label Me Pretty stamp set along with the Pretty Label Punch to give this card an interesting element on the flap.

IMG_5312

A little bit of burlap ribbon adds to the perfect rustic farm look.

IMG_5311

I also used the Stitched Shapes framelits in the oval shape on the early espresso cardstock. This pulls the card together quite nicely.

IMG_5314

Got to love a card with a cherry cobbler rooster on it, for sure :)

Quick and Cute Piggy

I've got another cute little piggy card to share with you today. Its very simple but very sweet.

I used watercolor paper and aqua painters to watercolor the little pig. Its as simple as squeezing the lids of the inkpads, into the pad itself and picking up the deposited bit of ink on the inside of the lid with the aqua painter and coloring the image. I used the new "in color", powder pink, as well as flirty flamingo and a bit of pear pizazz for the grass.

IMG_5369

How do you like the new "Oh My Stars" emboss folder that I used on the whisper white background? Pretty cool, huh?

I cut the scallop circle from the crumb cake cardstock with the Layering Circles framlits and also used the crumb cake cardstock for the card base.

I finished the card with the new powder pink finely woven ribbon and attached it with a glue dot.

IMG_5370

On the inside, I used the verse "Says Thanks!" I'm just loving This Little Piggy and I think you will too!

Colorful Seasons- My #1 Pick from the New Catalog

When I first saw the new Stampin Up catalog, the first set that I knew that I had to have was "Colorful Seasons."

Its perfect for all seasons and has coordinating dies to match. The leaves, the snowflakes, the flowers and branches, even an adirondack chair. This set covers it all for every season of the year.

I started with this beach scene. We actually did a similar card at my card class last week using the adirondack chair instead of the beach chair on this card. Both look equally fabulous.

IMG_5182

I tweaked this idea from my demonstrator friend, Kim Peck, and I love it! I sponged, peek a boo peach, so saffron, pool party and sahara sand across the card to emulate sky, water and sand.

The beach chair was stamped in pool party and sahara sand and the words and the birds are in early espresso ink.

The birds did not come with this set- I borrowed them from the " Wherever You Go" stamp set.

I punched the sun out with the 1.5" circle punch and used the wink of stella brush in clear over top to get the shimmer on the sun.

IMG_5183

Ahhhh... makes me wish I was at the beach right now.

Hope you like this calming, beachy card and I'm so glad you stopped by to visit.

Check out this awesome stamp set and bundle pictured below, before you go. You'll see why its my #1 pick!
