Stampin Up Holiday Catalog Debuts Sept 1st! Pick a Pumpkin bundle

I have a different take on the Halloween card that I shared the other day. This one has a different background and some new elements but uses basically the same stamps, dies and colors.

I'm having fun with the bright halloween themed colors. I love bright, happy cards.

I designed this card for a swap that I host. I was excited to get to make more fall cards to share with my fellow demonstrator friends. The ribbons are held in place with glue dots. If I haven't mentioned this before, glue dots are amazing!

Check out the new black rhinestone jewels. These will also be available in the new Holiday Catalog.

I also whipped up this card for a couple of special freinds. I hope everyone likes it as much as I liked creating it!

If you haven't received a copy of the new Stampin Up Holiday Catalog, and don't have a demonstrator, email me and I'll get a copy out to you!

Until the next time...

Peek at "Pick a Pumpkin" from the New Holiday Catalog

I'm not a huge halloween fan, but I do love pumpkins and the colors of halloween. I can't resist a pumpkin stamp set, so one of the first fall sets that I ordered was the "Pick a Pumpkin" set and coordinating "Patterned Pumpkins" thinlits dies. It comes in a bundle for a 10% discount as well.

This card actually only uses the "Patterned Pumpkins" dies. I'll have more cards with the stamp set later.

The dies are awesome and I particularly love the pumpkin "outline" die.

I decided I wanted to use the outline and also fill in the outline with an alternate color or pattern. The "Painted Autumn" Designer Series Paper was perfect for this.

I wanted to use bright and fun halloween inspired colors and I planned on incorporating the new black and white striped ribbon. The ribbon is featured with the Christmas items, but I think its absolutely perfect for Halloween.

Another cool trick that I used on this card is the background. I embossed the lemon lime twist cardstock with the "Polka Dot Basics" emboss folder. Then I used the 3/4" circle punch and covered all the dots with wisteria wonder polka dots. The dots pop up from the cardstock without having to use tons of dimensionals, plus the emboss folder gives me a pattern to follow as to where to place the dots. Perfect!

IMG_9595

I used the new "Leaf Punch" as well as the 1" circle punch on this card. The "you're sweet" was borrowed from the Seasonal Chums stamp set in the new Holiday Catalog.

IMG_9594

I cut the pumpkin out twice- once in pumpkin pie cardstock and once with the "Painted Autumn" designer paper. Of course I used the negatives of both colors to make another card. I'll post that later in the week as well.

IMG_9597

So super fun and it could even be fall birthday card if you wanted it to be!

Hope you enjoyed a peek at "Pick a Pumpkin" today. It will be available on Sept 1st! So come back and view the online catalog here on that day.

Sneak Peek- Painted Harvest

I'm sharing one of my favorites from the New Stampin' Up Holiday Catalog with you today. Its called "Painted Harvest."

First of all, its a stamp set with sunflowers, so right off the bat, I was in love with it.

Its the perfect fall flower and one of my favorites.

IMG_9322

This card was a make n take at my last team meeting. I received this set on the Thailand trip, so I did'nt have the coordinating Leaf Punch that comes in the bundle. We were given the Everyday Label punch on the trip as well, and I thought it also worked great with this set.

IMG_9323

I love the bright, sunny yellows - daffodil delight and crushed curry. Coupled with the chocolate chip ink, it really pops.

Here's a photo of the coordinating Painted Autumn designer paper- we made these cards on the Thailand trip and I posted it last month, maybe you remember it.

I'm glad you stopped by today.

#1 Stampers Meeting, Make n Takes & Team Swaps

One of my favorite things about my Stampin Up business is getting together and stamping with friends, especially my downline team members. We share business tips, stamping ideas, swaps and also have yummy snacks and fun door prizes during our get togethers.

This month Teresa Fisher shared a make n take project with us using the Magical Mermaid stamp set. Her sample was gorgeous. Unfortunately I messed mine up and ended up coming home and having to re-do my card. However, I did use the same colors and cardstocks of Teresas and I loved the colors she chose. Bermuda bay, berry burst and tempting turquoise. The colors really look magical together.

IMG_9146

It was Teresas idea to color the ends of the hair in bermuda bay. How cool is that? I love it!

IMG_9147

This is a photo of some of my team from the meeting that night. I remembered to get a photo after most of the girls had already left. Next time, I will have to tie a string around my finger or something, so I remember to get photos early. By the way, that's cute little Teresa to the left of me, in the white sweater.

IMG_9139

I also wanted to take time to share of few of the amazing swaps that the girls created. The theme was fall cards and the girls did a fabulous job as usual.

Stampin' Up Early Release and a Recap

I've got one more "Carols of Christmas" card to share with you this week. I will also post another card that I made with this set, that I've shared earlier this month, in case you missed it.

This is made with the Deck the Halls stamp from the "Carols of Christmas" bundle. I used traditional Christmas colors this time.

IMG_9324

The colors are cherry cobbler, and old olive ink pad, markers and cardstock.

IMG_9325

I used the Hardwood background stamp in old olive to give it a more rustic look. I stamped off once, to give it a more subtle wooden texture.

IMG_9326

I added Glitter Enamel dots to the middle of the ornaments for dimension and shimmer.

In case you missed it...here's the other "Carols of Christmas" card that I posted previously.

IMG_9120

So sparkly and glittery in real life!

Don't forget- this Carols of Christmas stamp set and dies are available for early purchase this month! Get a jump start on your Christmas cards... it will be here before you know it.

Thanks for visiting today.
