Stampin Up "In The Trees" stamp set with Watercolor Pencils

This is such a cool stamp set. I love that it has a hammock and cute little pennants and  lights to hang from the trees. It even has a tiny squirrel!

This card was very basic. I simply stamped the images in basic black archival ink, and used Stampin Up Watercolor Pencils and an Aqua-Painter to color them in.

IMG_1183

I used watercolor paper to stamp and color on. The other cardstocks are soft sky and crumb cake.

For the trees, I just randomly colored the entire top of the tree with the old olive and bermuda bay pencils. I kind of just scribbled the colors in. Then I used the aqua painter to wash over the leaves and blend the colors together.

IMG_1184

For the clouds and tree trunk, I outlined the image and washed over it with the aqua painter. The flowers and grass are lightly colored before I used the aqua painter to give them a water colored look.

IMG_1187

I love my embellishments, and here you can see that I've added a few Glitter and Clear Epoxy dots.

The sun is from the "Let the Good Times Roll" roller coaster stamp set. I stamped it in daffodil delight and then used the pumpkin pie watercolor pencil to highlight. I washed over it with my aqua painter as well.

Here's a close up of the sun. I needed to add some "shine" so I used the Wink of Stella brush to make it sparkle.

IMG_1188

I cut out the clouds and popped them on with mini dimensionals.

IMG_1186

I used the Congratulations greeting from the set because I thought it would make a great Gradution card. Especially for a young man. Its a great masculine set as well as any age or gender.

We've never had a stamp set quit like this. I think its pretty awesome. What do you think?

Thanks for taking the time to take a look!

Sneak Peek-Card Class Mothers Day card

Here's a quick sneak peek at one of the cards we will be making at Card Class this week.

I used the Lovely Wishes stamp set from the Stampin Up Occasions Catalog to design this simple and elegant Mothers Day card.

I decided on the color berry burst as the bold pop of color. I think it looks amazing with the black and white, Petal Passions designer paper.

IMG_1122

The leaves are stamped in old olive. This color never goes out of trend. Its my go-to green.

IMG_1111

A beautiful berry burst metalic edge ribbon ties it all up. This ribbon is smooth satin and glorious with a bit of silver sparkle - my favorite!

I think the ladies are going to love this one. Its quick and easy to make, but elegant enough to make an impression.

Stampin' Up Cake Soiree Wedding Card

I'm sharing the gorgeous Cake Soiree stamp set and framelit bundle with you today. I am using this set for my next Card Class and I wanted to play around with it a little.

I came up with this beautiful wedding card. I also designed the card we will make at class, and I will share that next week.

The Sweet Soiree designer paper is simply stunning. The colors are amazing and the paper has outlines of shimmery silver all through it.

IMG_1041

I coordinated the inks and cardstock to match the Sweet Soiree designer paper. The cardstock colors are rich razzleberry and sweet sugarplum as well as whisper white. To color the flower on the cake I used the ink from the inkpads and dipped a blender pen in the ink that I squeezed onto the lid of the inkpad. I colored in the flowers with the blender pen. The leaves were colored with old olive and the flowers are sweet sugarplum and flirty flamingo.

IMG_1040

I added some shimmer to the flowers with the Wink of Stella brush. It really shimmers in the light.

IMG_1045

IMG_1050

Its just so, so pretty in person. All the colors and shimmer are stunning. I left the greeting off of the front of the card and used the wedding wishes for inside. I used pink pirouette cardstock and rich razzleberry as well as old olive ink on the inside.

IMG_1042

Its the perfect Wedding Card.

IMG_1044

Another peek at the inside...

IMG_1046

I'm excited about this set and coordinating framelits as well as the amazing Sweet Soiree designer paper. I just can't stop looking at it!

I added the beautiful berry burst metalic edge ribbon and an ombre Glitter enamel dot for texture and dimension.

IMG_1048

I can't wait for the ladies at Card Class to use this set. I hope they love it as much as I do!

Thanks for visiting.

Stampin Up Bubble Over with Happiness

I have a fun card to share today. Its made with the Bubble Over stamp set and coordinating dies. We made this at my Card Class.

I especially love some of the cool details on this bubbly greeting card.

IMG_0286

The bubbles that are spewing out of the top of the pop bottle (we call it pop, here in western PA;) are stamped and then cut out with the bubble framelit die. Its one stamp and one die, which makes it easy to create lots of fun bubbles!

Check out the "sweat" drops from the cold bottle of "pop". I totally love this! The drops are from the  Glitter and Clear Epoxy shapes in the new Stampin Up Occasions Catalog 2018.

IMG_0291

I used silver foil paper to die cut the bottle cap on the bottle. It looks so real!

IMG_0287

The Bubbles and Fizz designer paper is FREE with a $50 order if you order during Sale a Bration. Be sure to place your orders before March 31!

IMG_0290

Such a fun set for both adults and kids. It can even double as a beer bottle or bottle of lemonade.

I hope you were able to take advantage of Sale a Bration- our biggest sale of the year. If not, be sure to get your orders in by March 31 so you don't miss out on FREE products. Easter Bunny/Baby card Simple Eclipse Technique

Easter is just around the corner and this " Sweet Little Something" bunny is perfect for Easter cards and pages. I actually made this as a baby card, but it is just as great as an Easter card.

The colors are whisper white, pink pirouette and berry burst cardstocks as well as pink pirouette, sweet sugarplum and berry burst inks. I stamped them in that order.

IMG_0367

This card uses a simple Eclipse technique. I used only one heart from the Sweet and Sassy hearts framelits set. I first stamped the bunny on the whisper white, then cut out the heart over the bunny head. Next, I attached the whisper white that had the heart cut out of it, to the berry burst cardstock, using dimensionals, so that it was elevated. Finally, I placed the heart cut out back into the open heart space and glued it down.

IMG_0368

Here, you see the dimension from the Eclipse technique. To see another sample of this technique, click here. I also used the gorgeous berry burst ribbon and a few scattered pearl jewels to add a more feminine touch. I placed the pearls directly on some of the dots formed by the Softly Falling emboss folder.

So, for both a new baby or a sweet bunny Easter card, its perfect either way! The Sweet Little Something stamp set, is a must have this season.

Stampin Up- A Good Day Lemonade

I simply can't put this set down! I keep thinking of more cards to create with this darling stamp set.

A Good Day stamp set is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I was thinking spring and wishing for warmer days today, so I came up with this refreshing and brightly colored greeting card.

IMG_E0915

Ahh... so refreshing. I used some cheerful and happy colors for this card, including, daffodil delight, lemon lime twist, and peek a boo peach. Even the names of these colors make me happy.

I colored the drink glasses with regular Stampin Write Markers in the same colors.

IMG_0918

I didn't use the coordinating Embroidery Hoops this time, but I did use the 2 Scallop Circle punches that coordinate with this darling stamp set.

IMG_E0919

The daffodil delight cardstock measures 4 x 5 1/4, the peek a boo peach is 5 1/4 x 3 and the Tuttu Frutti designer paper is 5 x 2 3/4.  I stamped the "Just for You" starburst twice. Once on lemon lime twist cardstock and once on whisper white. I then used the 1" circle punch to punch out the words on the whisper white cardstock and used a dimensional to pop it up on the lemon lime twist scallop circle.

IMG_0916

I tied it up with two ribbons made with my favorite gorgeous, lemon lime twist ribbon and added a few Tutti Frutti self adhering sequins!

I hope this makes you all warm and happy and ready for spring!
