Beautiful You

Card Class - Cuties and Cards

Its always a pleasure to stamp with the card class crew. Its a great time to not only stamp with all the new Occasions products but to see all the new sample cards and to catch up from our Christmas break.

Here's Deb, Sharon and Judy. Such a fun bunch of happy stampers!

The ladies seemed to really love this "Beautiful You" card. They loved the colors of soft sky and blushing bride together. The new "Falling Petals" emboss folder received a lot of compliments as well.

This is Sue and Liz making a cute Valentine. It's Sale A Bration and Stampin Up has a great sign up special, so of course Sue had to take advantage of getting an extra 2 free stamp sets of her choice for signing up tonight. I think that's why she's smiling from ear to ear in this photo.

Beautiful You, watercolored and wonderful

Have you seen this lovely new stamp set in the Occasions Catalog? Its called "Beautiful You." So appropriate because it is such a gorgeous set. Its perfect for watercoloring as well.

I used the "girl with umbrella" stamp for the main image on this soft and simple card. I then used a blender pen and the ink from the lid of the soft sky and sahara sand ink pads to watercolor her dress and umbrella. I also used the blushing bride for the skin tone.

To watercolor with the ink pads... close the ink pad, then squeeze the lid so that it touches the inkpad. Then open the inkpad and there will be a little puddle of ink on the lid. Use the blender pen to "pick up" the ink and color with it. The easiest way to watercolor ever!

For the background I used the new "Falling in Love" designer paper. This piece has the bokeh effect, which I just love.

A pretty piece of gold 1/4" natural trim ribbon and its all finished.

I think a swipe of the wink of stella brush would really offset the "rainy" effect of this card as well. I'll have to try that next.

Thanks for taking a peek at my blog today.

Until the next time..
