Card Folds

Christmas Cards by My Talented Team

I wanted to share some of the swaps that my team created for our #1 Stampers Meeting swap this month.

These ladies are so talented and creative. I love seeing their fabulous designs each month and look forward to seeing what they will come up with.

This amazing swap was made by the uber talented Mary Ann Hazlett. She is so good at fine details and 3D projects. This card was made with the Hearts Come Home bundle in the Holiday Catalog.

Here's a look at it opened:

This beauty is by Tonya Beatty. Tonya makes such delicate and pretty cards, with a unique twist. I always love seeing her wonderful ideas.

IMG_0278

Here's a cute little card by a cute little teammate- Teresa Fisher. I like the simple and fun nature of this card. This card was made with the Merry Cafe stamp set from the Holiday Catalog.

The Christmas Quilt bundle is a favorite of mine and this card shows exactly why I love it. Tina DeSalvo made this colorful and and cute Christmas card that would be perfect to send to friends and family this holiday season.

And last by not least, one of my favorite stamp set bundles, ever- Night in Bethlehem. This gorgeous card was made by Sue Brennan. I adore the colors that Sue used and how she made them pop, by sponging around the edges with the elegant eggplant ink. So pretty!

I hope you enjoyed all these beautifully made cards, by some of my incredibly talented team members.

Stampin Up Colorful Seasons Z Card Fold

I've got another triple Z fold card to share with you today. I posted one last week made with a birthday stamp set, and today I'm using the Colorful Seasons Bundle to make a fall card.

I used the beautiful leaves from the Colorful Seasons stamp set. This stamp set is a two step stamp set- which means the stamps are layered on top of each other in different colors to create shading and dimension.

If you'd like the measurements and a quick tutorial on how to make this fold- refer back to the card from last week - click here

IMG_9938

A tip when stamping the large leaves- stamp the outline image first and then the solid image. I used pumpkin pie, rich razzleberry and pear pizzaz inks on this card.

IMG_9940

I added some fun embellishments too! Gold faceted gems, enamel shapes and gold metallic shapes.

IMG_9939

I wanted to give the card the look of tree bark, so I added the Pinewood Plank emboss folder to add some detailed woodgrain dimesion to the top flap of the card. I love how it turned out.

IMG_9942

Its officially fall and I think this card is a perfect greeting for the season.

Happy Fall y'all and thanks for stopping by!

How To Card Fold with Seasonal Chums

One of the cutest stamp sets in the new Stampin' Up Holiday Catalog is the Seasonal Chums stamp set and coordinating Seasonal Tags framelits.

I used the pumpkin stamp as a single image instead of a tag, which is what the stamp was designed to be. Check the images in the set, below, listed after this post. You will see what I mean.

For this special fold, I cut a 4 1/4" x 11 " piece of wisteria wonder cardstock. Then I cut a 2 3/4" in piece off of the front flap of the card. The basic black square is 1 3/4", the so saffron is 1 1/2" and the lemon lime twist is 1 1/4".

IMG_9630

I stamped the pumpkin in basic black archival ink and colored it in with the wink of stella clear brush dipped in the lids of the inkpads. The inks I used were pumpkin pie, tangerine tango and garden green.

IMG_9631

Using the wink of stella brush is like using a blender pen, only its shimmery!

Here's an inside view:

I also used the new Quilt Top embossing folder for the background on the lemon lime twist cardstock as well as the new Black Rhinestone Jewels and the Painted Autumn designer series paper. The bats, web and pumpkin were all die cut with the Seasonal Tag framelits of course.

That's another cute pumpkin card and unique, fun fold to add to your idea box!

Daisy Delight - Super Colorful and Fun

This card that I am sharing today was made with the Daisy Delight bundle. The bundle comes with the stamp set and the coordinating Daisy Punch. One thing that I want to mention is that only the stamp set is available right now. The Bundle and the Punch will be available on June 26th.

This is a great set to play around with. And it looks great in any color that you pair it with. I decided to go with melon mambo, calypso coral and lemon lime twist. I love bright colors, so this was so fun to create and it makes me happy to use all these super colorful inks and cardstocks.

IMG_5400

On this card, I used the Stampin white chalk marker to make stitched lines around the basic black cardstock. Makes it pop a little bit.

IMG_5406

Here's a close up of the detail- the black metallic thread and the new Clear Fauceted Gems. I also used the Brushstrokes background stamp in Lemon Lime Twist ink. I am a big fan of background stamps and I own every one that we carrry!

IMG_5404

This stamp set has so many darling images, I had to try to use them all. So, of course I added some fun stamping on the inside of the card. As you can see I used the basic black cardstock 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 as the base of the card and used the whisper white (10 1/2 x 4) as the actual card. Kind of a neat variation to the basic card.

IMG_5407

This one I used the basic black bakers twine instead of the black metallic thread, behind the flower image.

IMG_5403

Here's the whole fabulous bunch. The brighter the colors, the happier it makes me!

Wood Words Variation

I have a quick post on a simple variation of the Wood Words stamp set that I used on my previous blog post. I used the same card fold and colors as well as the same two stamp sets, Wood Words and Label Me Pretty.

I only changed a few things to make this card look a little different.

IMG_5435

I added the beautiful cluster of flowers from the Wood Words set in crumb cake ink and I also used the new Wood Textures designer paper stack.

IMG_5436

The same simple Z fold- you can check out the blog post previous to this one for the measurements and tips.

IMG_5437

I also used very vanilla cardstock on the inside of this one.

IMG_5434

Thought I'd share this one with you, as you can basically use all the same supplies.

I just received my box full of more new Stampin Up stamps and accessories, so I will be playing with my goodies tonight.

Stay tuned for some new creations coming soon!

Thanks again for stopping by.

Rooster Note from the Wood Words stamp set

The card I am sharing today is a simple Z fold card made with the Wood Words stamp set. I think this set should be called Farm Fresh, because its all the things that we would see on a farm, including a rooster!

I wanted the card to look very rustic and earthy. So, I used the colors, early espresso, crumb cake, cherry cobbler and whisper white.

IMG_5310

The Z fold on this card is very simple and easy. I folded the card base (11" x 4 1/4") in half, then I simply folded the front flap of the card up to meet the fold on top.

IMG_5313

The Hardwood background stamp was used to give the card that rustic bark look. I also used the new Label Me Pretty stamp set along with the Pretty Label Punch to give this card an interesting element on the flap.

IMG_5312

A little bit of burlap ribbon adds to the perfect rustic farm look.

IMG_5311

I also used the Stitched Shapes framelits in the oval shape on the early espresso cardstock. This pulls the card together quite nicely.

IMG_5314

Got to love a card with a cherry cobbler rooster on it, for sure :)
