Color Me Happy Kit

Happy New Year- Celebrate with a paper lantern card!

I'm sharing a New Year's card that we made at Card Class. Its made with the "Color Me Happy" stamp set, which is a limited edition set. Available "while supplies last."

The paper lanterns in this set were a perfect backdrop for a celebration, like New Year's Eve.

All images were stamped in the Memento Black ink and colored with the new Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

We used the calypso coral and pool party Stampin' Blends markers to color the paper lanterns. The word Celebrate was stamped in bermuda bay ink and punched out with the Classic Label punch.

The black rhinestones add some dimension and shine. Get those before they retire at the end of this month! I was sure hoping they would stay, but alas, they are being retired... ugh. I also added dimension with the Oh My Stars emboss folder on the bermuda bay cardstock.

Its a fun way to say "Happy New Year" to all your friends and family via US mail. :)

Stampin Blends and Color Me Happy Kit

Its finally here! The NEW Stampin' Blends alcohol markers and they are fabulous! They come in 24 colors plus, bronze, ivory and a color lifter. Of course they are made in the Stampin Up exclusive colors so that they coordinate with our inks and papers, etc. Each Stampin Up Blends marker has a dark shade and a light shade, so that you know what colors to pair together. There is no guess work involved! So, for example if you are using the cherry cobbler marker, its comes in cherry cobbler light and dark.

There is also a New Stamp Kit available (while supplies last) made with all "outline" image stamps, perfect for coloring with the New Stampin' Blends. Its called the Color Me Happy Kit.

As soon as I got this kit, I decided to try out my new Stampin Blends right away. I'm in LOVE with these markers. They are so easy to use and the colored images look so awesome! Note: you will need a Tuxedo black Memento ink pad to use with these alcohol markers and the best cardstock to use is the whisper white.

Here's a look at the Kit and all the colored images.

I wanted to show you how the image looks when coloring with the markers. So, here is the flower colored with the rich razzleberry "light" marker and then using the "dark" rich razzleberry to add shading.

Using just the "light" shade of rich razzleberry:

Adding the "dark" rich razzleberry for shading:

Side by Side comparison: Can you see the difference when the shading is added? So beautiful!

Here's a look at all of the cards included in the Color Me Happy kit, that I colored with the new Stampin' Blends. (Stampin Blends sold separately)

All stamps, pre-cut cardstock, accessories and envelopes are included in the kit- all you need is adhesive!

I think this is my favorite :)

And finally, a cute little "thank you" card.

Isn't this kit, adorable? I loved putting it together- it was so fun and so easy! It only took me 45 minutes from start to finish.

We used the new Stampin Blends at my class last night and the ladies were blown away by them!

I hope you'll give them a try!
