Stampin' Up! Floral Phrases Card

I added some color to the Floral Phrases flower with sponge daubers today. You all know how I love my sponging.

I really like how this card turned out and it was ever so easy to whip up.

I used a sponge dauber in the night of navy ink to color the flower directly on the stamp. Then I used always artichoke ink on the leaves. Don't worry if its not perfect and some of the green gets in the navy- it will still look great.

I stamped the greeting on this card with the night of navy ink and the border in always artichoke. The Floral Boutique designer paper is the background of this card. This paper is so beautiful- I love all of the patterns. One is prettier than the next.

A few wraps of thick white bakers twine finishes the card with a bit of texture and dimension.  I love the classic look of the colors and patterns of this Floral Phrases greeting card.

So, get those sponge daubers out and add your own pretty colors to this beautiful stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by.

Until the next time..

Stampin' Up! Floral Phrases Card Ideas

I've been stamping the last few days, preparing for some big workshops this week.

I finally had a chance to stamp with the "Floral Phrases" stamp set and matching Floral thinlet dies.

I made a few cards with this set and will share 2 of them with you today.

The first one is really cool. I used the sponge brayer to color the whisper white cardstock underneath the die cut.

I used sweet sugar plum and peek a boo peach inks to brayer the color onto the cardstock.

If you look closely, you can see the sponged colors and how they blend so nicely. It gives the card a really soft, stippled, fuzzy look.

I added the greeting in basic gray archival ink and attached some rhinestone jewels for a little bedazzle.

The second card is really simple but elegant. I used night of navy ink and the white organza ribbon.

I used the Floral Boutique designer series paper with the Floral thinlet this time and only used one of the thinlet pieces from the package.

I love how cool it looks with the Floral Boutique designer paper.

These thinlets are super easy to use. But, you must have the precision plate to use with the big shot- it makes it 1,000 times easier and it cuts these details amazingly.

This set is so beautiful, I didn't want to put it down! I have another card to show you later this week. Its totally different.

I hope you stop by again soon.

Until then...
