Stampin' Up Barn Door Stamps and Dies

I have some fun cards to share with you today, made with the new Stampin' Up Barn Door Bundle.

Its such a fun set to play with. I've created 3 different designs and one of them we will make at Card Class this week. Yay!

The first card is also made with the " This Little Piggy" stamp set. I thought it would be fun to put the piggy in the barn. It works perfectly with this set. I will post a Stampin' Up video below, showing just how to make a barn door card with the Barn Door Bundle. So scroll to the bottom of this post to see it.

The cardstock that I used is whisper white and basic black and also the Woodgrain Designer Series paper. The inks are smoky slate, crumb cake, pink pirouette, and the memento black pad.

I colored in the pig with the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers. I used both the smoky slate and pink pirouette sets of markers.

If you watch the video below, you will also get a list of the "behind the scenes" items that were used to put this card together. I will also post the supply list below.

I used the Stampin Write water based markers to color directly on the wreath stamp in crumb cake, pink pirouette and basic black.

How cool is this? The door slides back and forth to reveal the message. The whisper white piece that has the pig/message stamped on it is 41/4" x 2 1/2". The card base is 5 1/2 x 4 1/4.  The door is cut out with a framelit from the barn door set.

The colors are whisper white, crumb cake and basic black- same for the inks as well as cherry cobbler. I also used the Hardwood Background stamp for the card base. Same measurements as above.

I colored the wreath, the same way as above... using the early espresso and cherry cobbler Stampin' Write markers.

Cards for Friends

I made cards today for friends who are going through some challenges in their lives. I knew I wanted to use a cheeful color and the verse from the Rose Wonder stamp set on the inside of the card:

Fear not, for I am with you; Do not be dismayed. For I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand- Isaiah 41:10.

The stamp set "bundle" that I used for the flower image and the die cut is the Flourishing Phrases bundle. I've used that a lot lately. Its just so versatile and so pretty.

I added pearl jewels to the die cut flowers and tied it up with the beautiful flirty flamingo ruched ribbon to match the cardstock and ink colors on the card.

I hope my friends know how much I care about them and I hope it brightened up their day to receive a hand stamped card in the mail. Because, seriously, life can be really tough sometimes and we all need a little "pick me up" now and then.

Maybe someone in your life would appreciate a hand stamped card as well... go ahead and send a few friends a card to let them know you are thinking of them. It will make you both feel good!

Until the next time...

Keep on Stampin' and Come back again soon!
