Fruit Basket

Fruit Basket Fun

We made a trio of Fruit Basket cards at my Card Class this week. I couldn't resist using as many fruits from this set as I could. The Tutti Frutti designer paper pulled it all together so nicely. There are so many fun and fruity patterns in this paper pack, I had to use a different one for each card!

I'll start with the strawberry card...

I used this same layout for all three of the cards and only changed the fruit theme. I punched a circle with the 2 1/4" punch and then stamped the wire basket and berries. The colors are lemon lime twist, real red and basic black.

The pineapple card. This ones not pink, but its still adorable!

I can't tell you how many people told me that they didn't really like this set in the catalog, until they saw it in person. SIX people bought this bundle last night. The Fruit Basket stamp set can be bought alone or with the 4 Itty Bitty Fruit punches for a 10% discount.

The ribbon is the lemon lime twist striped ribbon in the Occasions Catalog 2018. The inks are daffodil delight and lemon lime twist.

Last but not least, the citrus card.

The designer paper strip is cut at 2" x 5 1/2" and the square is 3 x 3. The inks are daffodil delight and peek a boo peach.

I love these bright, fruity colors.

Here's a look at all three.

The best part is, they were so easy to make! I hope you liked them as much as my Card Class ladies did.

Glue Dots

My Pink Pineapple Parade continues...

If you saw my post yesterday, you know that I created a fun, pink pineapple card with the Fruit Basket stamp set and coordinating Itty Bitty Fruit punches. Well, I had some extra pink pineapples and pieces left from making that card, so I used the extra pieces to complete this cute greeting.

I used the same basic elements as I did yesterday, but simply changed the layout. I also added an embossed background using the Polka Dot emboss folder.

To view colors and product details, check my blog post from yesterday. The Tutti Frutti black polka dot strip is cut at 1" x 5 1/2".

Both the basic black and lemon lime twist punched circles are 3/4 inches. Once again I used the self adhering Tutti Frutti sequins in the middle of the circles.

Super easy and super fun to make!

Hope you've enjoyed my pineapples cards. More to come this week!

Until then...

Watercolor and Pink Pineapples

So, I finally was able to have some fun with the new Fruit Basket stamp set and coordinating Fruit Punches. I was eager to make some pink pineapple cards for sure!

I started with watercolor paper, my aqua painter and a melon mambo ink pad. I wanted a splash of water color wash in pink for my background. So, I used the ink in the "lid" of the melon mambo ink pad and painted it onto my watercolor paper with an aqua painter. ( close your ink pad and squeeze the lid of the inkpad so that the ink deposits onto the lid inside)

I randomly painted some ink onto the paper.

I then flicked the barrel of my aqua painter to splatter water/ink onto the watercolor paper.

I let it dry, and then it was time to decorate!

The 3/4" circle punch was used to make the basic black circles which I adhered the melon mambo and lemon lime twist pineapples onto with mini dimensionals.

I decorated the card with the new Tutti Fruitti sequins, which by the way, are self adhering! I also added a rhinestone to the middle of each sequin.

The black and white dotted paper is from the Tutti Frutti designer paper pack and the ribbon is lemon time twist. I thought it would be cool to stamp the greeting directly on the ribbon in black archival ink.

Of course I had to stamp some cute pineapples on the inside of the card as well.

Making this "Pink Pineapple" card made me so happy. I didn't stop there, though, I have more Fruit Baskets to share this week as well. So be sure to check in later.

Fruit Basket full of Pretty Pineapples

Of course I was eager to get my hands on this adorable Fruit Basket stamp set and coordinating Itty Bitty Fruit punches. I especially wanted to make some cards with the cute little pineapples in this set.

I also used the awesome Tutti Frutti designer paper on this "sweet" little card.

I used several circle punches, the Myths and Magic glimmer paper as well as the Itty Bitty Fruit pineapple punch.

The Stampin Write Markers in pool party and crumb cake were used to color in the fruit basket.

I used a utility knife to cut a slit in the basket, to slide the pineapples into.

Its such a bright and cheerful cards - just a fun "hello" to send to a sweet friend.
