The new Stampin Up Occasions Spring catalog will debut on January 3rd. It is packed full of new products, including some fabulous accessories, stamps and new items that we have never had before!
Today, I'll share a cute card made with a new stamp set called "Hedgehugs." Who doesn't love darling little hedgehogs?
I used the "spotlighting" technique to highlight the little birdie on the branch. The marina mist cardstock was punched out with the new 1 3/8" Scallop Circle punch. I stamped the branch in old olive first onto the whisper white cardstock. I then colored the same stamp with Stampin Write markers- marina mist for the bird and old olive for the branch, and stamped it again onto a separate piece of whisper white- then punched it out with the 1 1/4" circle punch and lined it up over the old olive stamped branch with a dimensional behind it.
The hedgehogs were stamped in chocolate chip ink and I used a blender pen to simply pull color from the stamped hedgehog to color in his face and legs.
The embossed stripes are from the new Simple Stripes emboss folder. I only embossed up to the image and stopped. It kind of reminds me of a fence. I did stamp the mushrooms in crumb cake ink before I embossed the card.
Here's a bunch of hedge-hugs, just for you! :)
