Stamping Technique- Re-inker Rainbows
March 12, 2017
I have a super fun technique to share with you today! Its called Re-inker Rainbows. You'll need shimmery white cardstock for this. Stampin' Up sells it in the Annual Catalog and it has a shimmery, pearl-like sheen. You'll also need several Stampin' Up re-inkers and an old credit card.
I also used the Layering Love stamp set, which works perfectly with this fabulous technique.
You may use any combination of colors that you like. For this card, I used the colors of the rainbow, real read, pumpkin pie, daffodil delight, wild wasabi and tempting turquoise. You can use more or less colors- its up to you!
Here's the first card that I created with this fun stamping technique:
By putting dots of re-inker colors on the edge of the shimmery white cardstock and swiping it downward, it creates this cool background effect. I do have a video posted below if you would like to see exactly how its done.
Here's another card using the same colors as above, except the tempting turquoise was omitted. I added a strip of gold glimmer paper and a metalic enamel heart to sparkle it up!
My last card uses wild wasabi, tempting turquoise, wisteria wonder and rich razzleberry re-inkers.
I added the Sparkle emboss folder on the whisper white background and a strip of silver glimmer paper. Once again I added the enamel shapes star in rich razzleberry and a few rhinestone jewels to top it off.
I love the way the beautiful effect that this fun technique creates.
Why not have a look at my video and try the Re-inker Rainbow stamping technique for yourself and have some fun with it!
Thanks for stopping by!
