Lemon Zest

Masculine Card with the Le"men" Zest stamp set

It seems everyone always needs ideas for masculine cards. I know I always do. They are somehow harder to create than the fancy girly girl, flowery, pink and pretty cards we create for our girl friends.

I thought the perfect colors for a masculine birthday card would be the new lemon lime twist and of course, basic black and naturally I had to use the Lemon Zest stamp set- only its a lime this time.

I did use a little bit of the new Lemon Lime Ombre ribbon- but you could leave that off if you wanted to.

Here's a close up. If you look really close you can see the new Garden Trellis emboss folder on the basic black cardstock. Its the same folder I used on the Coffee Cafe card that I posted last week. Its so cool- and can be used for masculine cards too.

Here's a little variation of the same card. I used the Layered Leaves emboss folder on the basic black cardstock for this one.

Either design would make a great birthday card for the great guys in your life. Hey, it could even make a great birthday card for the girls as well!

Zippity and Zesty- Stampin' Up Swap

Have I mentioned that I love this Lemon Zest stamp set and coordinating Lemon Builder Punch? Well, if I haven't, let me just say that I do love it! I like that I can use bright and sunny colors and it looks super sweet.

This is a card that I designed for a special swap that I host with other members of the Stampin Up Advisory Board Alumni.

I wanted to wait to post it, so that all the swappers had their cards back and I wouldn't ruin the surprise.

I used the daffodil delight, lemon lime twist and basic black inks as well as the lemon lime twist, basic black, daffodil delight and whisper white cardstocks.

I attached the lemon over cardstock that was embossed with the Layering Leaves emboss folder. I think it goes perfect with this stamp set.

Naturally I had to add a few Glitter Enamel Dots scattered around the card. The colors go so well with the inks and cardstock that I used.

And how about that stunning berry burst ribbon? Its so vibrant and gorgeous.

Here's a bunch ready to be shipped out to my fellow demonstrator friends.

Seriously, this card makes me so happy and giddy. I just can't get enough of this yummy stamp set!

Thanks for visiting.

I'll be leaving soon, but plan to schedule some posts for while I'm away on the Stampin' Up Incentive Trip.

One more thing... If you place an online order with me, be sure not to check the box "No Contact" because I won't be able to thank you or send you a hand stamped card.

Stampin' Up! Lemon Zest is the Best!

I've been working on swaps, and my card classes and workshops this past week. I've got sooooo much to do in my stampin up world right now, I don't know when I'll finally catch up- but hopefully soon!

I'm sharing one of the cards that I made for the Stampin' Up Leaders Swap. You all know I love fruit stamps, and this one is no exception. Its called Lemon Zest and it also comes in a bundle with the Lemon Builder Punch. I'm having fun using all kinds of bright colors with this set. Two of the colors are the new "In Colors" lemon lime twist and berry burst. They are YUMMY!

I also used daffodil delight ink on the lemons. A fold of crushed curry mini chevron ribbon and a couple of ombre Glitter enamel dots to give this card the extra "pop" appeal.

Here's a small bunch- getting ready to be mailed out to the other leaders.
