Pop of Pink designer paper

Card Fold- Triple Panel Standing Card

I designed a birthday card for my friend Cindy, using the Pineapple stamp set, of course, because she loves pineapples, just like me AND she lives in Hawaii.

Her favorite colors are pink and black, so I wanted to use all of those elements when making this card.

I decided to try a unique card fold for my unique and special friend. Its called the Triple Panel Standing card.

Here's the pineapple birthday card:

The designer paper is from the Pop of Pink designer paper pack. I used whisper white and basic black cardstocks as well as flirty flamingo, melon mambo, pear pizzaz, wild wasabi and basic black inks.

To make this card fold:

Cut basic black cardstock to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches. Lay the 8 1/2" edge in the paper trimmer against the top of the trimmer.

Score at: 2", 3 1/8", 5 3/8" and 6 1/2" and fold on score lines.

Here's a view from the top:

A view of the inside- which is actually the back of the card.

Pretty cool, huh?

I know its the middle of winter here, but I wanted to customize this card for Cindy. Her gifts also all fit the theme of black, pink and pineapples too! I hope Cindy enjoyed her card and her birthday gifts that I chose especially for her.

I hope you learned a new card fold technique as well!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Stampin Up Occasions Catalog- Perfect Mix stamp set

The Perfect Mix stamp set is so cutie pa-tootie! I went a little crazy, creating with this set today. I love the "bubble gum" colors of this card, it so mid- century.

My two favorite colors are pink and green. So, I used melon mambo and bermuda bay to capture the fun mid-century-modern look of this card.

But that's not all. Here's the second card that I made with pink pirouette, melon mambo and bermuda bay inks and cardstock. I also used a little bit of pool party cardstock to stamp the bowl on. So darling! I can't stop using the Stitched Shape Framelits. They look good no matter what I use them on.

Yep, there's a third card. Yay! I told you that I couldn't put this set down. Its just so fun! I almost used all the stamps from the Perfect Mix stamp set on this one alone! LOL.  For the first and third cards, I got to use the NEW Stampin Up Watercolor pencils. They are amazing and they coordinate with our exclusive Stampin' Up! colors. Got to love that!

I outlined each image with the colored pencils and then used the blender pen to blend the color out and give it a nice watercolor look. I added a rhinestone jewel to the melon mambo stitched ribbon for some sparkle. How appropriate, since the emboss folder that I used is called Sparkle as well!

Here's all three together.

Ok, I'll throw this one in for good measure. I used the Pop of Pink designer paper at the bottom of this card and the shiny bermuda bay sequin trim which I attached with our multi purpose glue. Dazzling Diamonds Glitter gives the ice cream/ pudding/yogurt a sugary glow. The word "sweet" is borrowed from the Cool Treats stamp set.

See, I told you that I went a little crazy with this set today. I just couldn't help myself!

I hope you enjoyed all the fun cards that I made with the adorable Perfect Mix stamps. I hope you get this set for yourself and go a little crazy with it too!

Until the next time...

Christmas Party - continued

I want to share one of the other Make n Takes that we did at our #1 Stampers Christmas Party. Its a very cool Valentine's Day card.

I mentioned the other day that I took a little break from making Christmas crafts, and I also wanted to give my team a fun card to design in preparation for the upcoming romantic holiday.

I created this card with the Pop of Pink washi tape, the Sweet and Sassy framelits and also the new Stitched Shapes framelits.

I also used the Happy Heart emboss folder, but I turned it backwards and its still looks super cool.

The gold foil paper looks awesome with the Stiched Shape framelits die. Its a little harder to see, but I also used the Stitched Framelits on the basic black cardstock as well.

To make the washi tape heart, I simply cut a 2" x 2" square of whisper white cardstock and covered it with the Pop of Pink washi tape. I then die cut the heart with the Sweet and Sassy framelits. ... and viola!

A small strip of melon mambo stitched ribbon, a sweet verse from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and the Valentine is complete.

I'll be back to share some fun Christmas ornaments... so come back to check them out.

Stampin Up - Jar of Love, Shaker Card

Today, I am sharing a sweet "Jar of Love" shaker card. This stamp set has so many possibilities. With 3 jar sizes and tons of accesories, like fish, hearts, flowers, lightening bugs, and candy, this jar can be anything you want it to be!

I made a "bless your heart'" shaker card with this sweet "Jar of Love" set. I used the little hearts as the shakers inside the jar and the verse- "bless your heart." I just love that combination. The supplies that I used will be listed below. But, I'm happy to say, that I will list a step by step tutorial here for you.

Isn't this the sweetest card, ever?

Here's a close up of the shaker inside. I used window sheets to enclose the punched hearts and it also has that glassy look as a real jar would have.

I used the new Classic Label punch for the greeting and attached it with dimensionals.

So, first of all, I stamped the large jar in basic black archival ink and cut out the inside with the coordinating "Everyday Jar Framelits" and attached a window sheet behind the jar with snail adhesive.

Next, I punched out some hearts with the "Confetti Hearts Border Punch" and placed them in the jar. I used the new "Foam Adhesive Strips" and formed it around the jar. I used one strip and cut off the excess foam and attached it up top.

Then I stamped a bunch of the hearts in pink pirouette and flirty flamingo inks on a piece of whisper white. This piece will fit behind the jar, over the foam strips.

Here it is, placed over top the foam strips ( heart side down) .. As you can see, I'm not too fussy about the look of back of my cards- no one sees them anyway, right? I applied snail adhesive and then attached this to the front of the card.

Here's how it looks! I layered onto basic black cardstock, Pop Of Pink designer paper, pink pirouette, flirty flamingo and whisper white cardstock. I attached the flirty flamingo and melon mambo ribbons with a glue dot.

So, so sweet. Bless your heart- I just love that verse and I think this card conveys that perfectly.

A few flirty flamingo "Enamel Shape" hearts give it the finishing touch.

I hope you like the card and the tutorial. Give it a try - shaker cards are so cool!

Thanks for stopping by today, I appreciate it!

Stampin' Up! A Few Flirty Flamingos

I hope you all had a fun 4th of July and enjoyed a nice long holiday weekend.

Time to get back to work for most of us... sometimes the holidays just aren't long enough.

Since its been so warm here and feeling like the tropics, I've made a cute flirty flamingo card to share with you today.

This stamp set is from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog 2016-2017. Its called "Pop of Paradise." I also used the "Pop of Pink" designer paper which compliments this card perfectly. I'm taking full advange of using this set this summer. I love making bright summery cards and in PA, summer doesn't last very long, so I've got to make these cards while I still can!

I used 3 variations of ink to stamp the flamingos: pink pirouette, flirty flamingo and melon mambo. The verse was stamped in basic black archival ink and die cut with the "Sweet and Sassy" Framelit dies.

I added the new black metallic thread, which I wrapped around 3 of my fingers and then attached it in place with dimensionals under the heart. I added a few rhinestone jewels for some sparkle.

Here's another variation of this card only I changed a couple of the colors on the card. I used blushing bride, flirty flamingo and calypso coral.

This time I wrapped basic black bakers twine around the card and added a flirty flamingo "Enamel Shape" to the bow.

Here's a photo of both cards:

Have a great week and thanks for visiting today.

Stampin' Up! "Baby Bear" stamp set - She's so Adorable

I'm sharing a sweet and sassy "Baby Bear" stamped card with you today. It's such a girly-girl card. Perfect for the new baby or little princess, or even a big princess.

I used lots of pinks on this Baby Bear card. The cardstock colors are flirty flamingo and very vanilla. I also added the polka dotted paper from the "Pop of Pink" designer series paper pack in the new Stampin' Up! catalog. I used the flirty flamingo ink in conjunction with the melon mambo ink on the bow. This is a 3 step stamp set. For the bow I used 2 steps, which means I layered two stamps on top of each other to create the colors on the bow.

The bears body is 3 colors, which means that I used the 3 step stamping technique. I layered 3 stamps on top of each other to create shading, dimension and depth. For the bears body I first used the boldest stamp in so saffron ink, then I layered crumb cake ink over that and chocolate chip was the last layer with the most detailed stamp.

I added the new "Enamel Shapes" to the bow and the greeting. The bow has a melon mambo heart shape and I attached two small circle shapes to the greeting. Did you notice the new punch? Its the "Classic Label" punch. Perfect fit for the greetings in this stamp set. To finish it off, I wrapped the gorgeous flirty flamingo ruched ribbon around the bottom.

Isn't she just adorable?

I appreciate you stopping by today. Big bear hugs to you!
