Special Reason stamp set

Easter Card sneak peek

Hello Stamping Friends! Are you ready for Easter yet? Its right around the corner and will be here before we know it.

So, today I'm sharing a little sneak peek of one of the cards that we will be making at my next Card Class.

I used the "Special Reason" stamp set and also the "Suite Sentiments" stamp set for the Easter greeting.

I think these colors are perfect for Easter. I used sweet sugarplum, wisteria wonder and pear pizazz.

I simply stamped the images from large to small then added the greeting in basic gray archival ink.

For the middle of the flowers, I punched 1/2 and 3/4 inch circles from the blushing bride glimmer paper.

Super simple and pretty as can be. Hope the ladies enjoy making this soft subtle, flowery Easter Card next week.

Card Class Card- Special Reason Stamp set

I want to share a quick card that we made at my Card Class last week. I used the Special Reason stamp set and Stylish Stems coordinating dies.

I also used whisper white, mint macaron, and rich razzleberry cardstocks and inks. The paper behind the diecut flower is the beautiful Blooms and Bliss designer series paper.

This birthday card was super easy to design and I love the peek a boo window that the flower framelit forms on this card.

I also used the Petal Burst emboss folder and the Classic Label punch to punch out the greeting, which I trimmed on the right side to be in line with the edge of the card.

The ladies at card class loved the look and the quick and easy way this card went together.

I hope you all like it as well!

Thanks again for stopping by my blog today.

Until the next ime...

Stamping Technique: Stencil Sponging Technique

Today I have a lovely card to share with you, using a technique called, stencil sponging.

I used the "Special Reasons" stamp set from the Stampin Up Occasions 2017 Catalog. This set also has a coordinating die called "Stylish Stems."

For this stamping technique, I cut the large flower with the Stylish Stems detailed die. I did the same with the small flowers.

Here is the "stencil" that I cut from a piece of cardstock. This is what I used to place over the pieces of sweet sugar plum and wisteria wonder cardstock, before I cut them out with the "outline" flower dies.

I then sponged in the color over the sweet sugarplum cardstocks and wisteria wonder cardstock that I used for the flower base. I used melon mambo ink around the outside edges of the flowers and elegant eggplant ink for the middle of the flower. I then die cut them with the outline flower image from the Stylish Stems die.

This is a close up of the flower once it has been stencil sponged. I added white perfect accent circles to the middle of the flowers and the Stitched Shape Framelits for the whisper white square around the flowers.

The leaves were diecut in mint macaron cardstock and the ribbon is also mint macaron. The "Festive" emboss folder gives the card a soft dots and ribbons background.

I'm going to try this with oranges and reds and maybe even different shades of blue. I'm totally loving this stamp set combined with this cool stamping technique.

Go ahead and give it a try!
