Stitched Cards

Gift Card Holder using Merry Little Labels

Last week at my Card Class, we made this unique and fun Christmas gift card holder. The ladies, were loving it!

I also used the darling, Be Merry designer series paper to decorate this cool gift card holder.

This is the card completely closed. I layered the Stitched Shapes Framelit ovals in whisper white and cherry cobbler cardstocks.

Here's the inside:

IMG_0583

The whisper white cardstock is cut at 4 1/4" x 11". Its folded in half and then scored at 2 1/4" to form the pocket for the gift card.

I used tear tape to adhere the ends of the pocket and a 1" circle punch half way down on the circle, to from the thumb scoop.

I adhered the oval with 2 dimensionals, on the right side so that the left flap could slip underneath.

IMG_0584

The Be Merry designer paper is cut at 3x4, 2x4 and 1x4 inches. The largest piece is adhered to the outside left and the smallest is adhered to the inside pocket of the card.

Isn't it cool? I can't wait to give a few of these out this Christmas!

Thanks so much for visiting today.

Daisy Delight - Super Colorful and Fun

This card that I am sharing today was made with the Daisy Delight bundle. The bundle comes with the stamp set and the coordinating Daisy Punch. One thing that I want to mention is that only the stamp set is available right now. The Bundle and the Punch will be available on June 26th.

This is a great set to play around with. And it looks great in any color that you pair it with. I decided to go with melon mambo, calypso coral and lemon lime twist. I love bright colors, so this was so fun to create and it makes me happy to use all these super colorful inks and cardstocks.

IMG_5400

On this card, I used the Stampin white chalk marker to make stitched lines around the basic black cardstock. Makes it pop a little bit.

IMG_5406

Here's a close up of the detail- the black metallic thread and the new Clear Fauceted Gems. I also used the Brushstrokes background stamp in Lemon Lime Twist ink. I am a big fan of background stamps and I own every one that we carrry!

IMG_5404

This stamp set has so many darling images, I had to try to use them all. So, of course I added some fun stamping on the inside of the card. As you can see I used the basic black cardstock 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 as the base of the card and used the whisper white (10 1/2 x 4) as the actual card. Kind of a neat variation to the basic card.

IMG_5407

This one I used the basic black bakers twine instead of the black metallic thread, behind the flower image.

IMG_5403

Here's the whole fabulous bunch. The brighter the colors, the happier it makes me!

A New Color Combo

As, I mentioned at the beginning of the week, I'd be sharing lots of projects using the Eastern Palace Suite. This suite is offered as a "special" Bundle this month only. Actually, there are 2 "special" bundles to choose from. Both come with FREE gifts!
You are going to want to have one of those bundles, I promise. Click on the images at the end of this post to view or purchase these special bundles. This awesome promotion ends, May 1st, so don't miss it.

I've used a cool color combo on this thank you card. Watermelon Wonder (which is retiring- boo), Flirty Flamingo and Night of Navy are the cardstocks and inks that I chose for this card.

IMG_4602

I used the same layout as the Eastern Beauty card that we made at Kim's Card Class a few days ago. I'm kind of liking this layout.

IMG_4603

I cut a delicate white doily in half and scrunched it up under the flirty flamingo, stitched circle. The greeting is stamped in night of navy and punched out with the Classic Label Punch.

IMG_4605

My favorite part about the Eastern Medallion framlits is that this "flower" is dimensional. So very cool.

IMG_4604

A "White Perfect Accent" is a "perfect" center to this medallion flower.

I'm going to miss the watermelon wonder color. Maybe I'll be able use Calypso Coral as a substitute. I'll have to try that next time.

Thanks so much for dropping by.

Stampin Up Occasions Catalog- Perfect Mix stamp set

The Perfect Mix stamp set is so cutie pa-tootie! I went a little crazy, creating with this set today. I love the "bubble gum" colors of this card, it so mid- century.

My two favorite colors are pink and green. So, I used melon mambo and bermuda bay to capture the fun mid-century-modern look of this card.

IMG_3222

But that's not all. Here's the second card that I made with pink pirouette, melon mambo and bermuda bay inks and cardstock. I also used a little bit of pool party cardstock to stamp the bowl on. So darling! I can't stop using the Stitched Shape Framelits. They look good no matter what I use them on.

IMG_3223

Yep, there's a third card. Yay! I told you that I couldn't put this set down. Its just so fun! I almost used all the stamps from the Perfect Mix stamp set on this one alone! LOL.  For the first and third cards, I got to use the NEW Stampin Up Watercolor pencils. They are amazing and they coordinate with our exclusive Stampin' Up! colors. Got to love that!

IMG_3224

I outlined each image with the colored pencils and then used the blender pen to blend the color out and give it a nice watercolor look. I added a rhinestone jewel to the melon mambo stitched ribbon for some sparkle. How appropriate, since the emboss folder that I used is called Sparkle as well!

IMG_3226

Here's all three together.

IMG_3225

Ok, I'll throw this one in for good measure. I used the Pop of Pink designer paper at the bottom of this card and the shiny bermuda bay sequin trim which I attached with our multi purpose glue. Dazzling Diamonds Glitter gives the ice cream/ pudding/yogurt a sugary glow. The word "sweet" is borrowed from the Cool Treats stamp set.

IMG_3216

See, I told you that I went a little crazy with this set today. I just couldn't help myself!

I hope you enjoyed all the fun cards that I made with the adorable Perfect Mix stamps. I hope you get this set for yourself and go a little crazy with it too!

Festive Season Stamp set is Sew Pretty

I've got a "sew" pretty Christmas card to show you today.

I used the "Festive Season" stamp set from the Stampin' Up! Holdiay Catalog. I really enjoy creating with this set because of the many different and fun uses of the stamp and coordinating "Festive Stitching" thinlits.

I made this particular card for a demonstrator swap. A swap is where we make several of one style of card and trade them for cards that the other demonstrators make. I get so many great ideas and samples by doing the swaps.

Here's my card. I used garden green, wild wasabi and cherry cobbler cardstocks and the same inks, in addition to the crushed curry ink.

IMG_1115

Let's talk about the gorgeous "Cable Knit" emboss folder, shall we? It totally looks like a real sweater! If you recall, I used this on my "Holly Berry Happiness" card that I last posted. For that card, I used the gold foil and made a braid.

I used the "Festive Stitching" thinlets to design the tiny star which I sewed with the new cherry cobbler bakers twine. I sponged the whisper white background all over with crushed curry ink to give it a soft glow.

IMG_1119

Check out the tiny little silver metallic enamel star in the middle of the stitching. It gives the card a touch of sparkle.

The sentiment is from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" stamp set. Its one of my all time favorite greetings sets.

IMG_1118

I love the look of a hand stitched card in traditional Christmas colors.

IMG_1120

I hope my fellow "swappers" enjoyed getting this "sew" pretty card in their mailbox.

And I hope you enjoyed my post today. Thanks for stopping by.

Stampin' Up! - Festive Season Stitched Star

I am having so much fun with this new stamp set and thinlits bundle. I love the look of stitched cards and this bundle makes it so easy to create a hand stitched card. I shared another card earlier that I made with this set. It was the Christmas ornament, with the small stiched star in the middle.

This time I used the large star from the "Festive Season" stamp set and the "Festive Stitching thinlits.

IMG_1112

I used some fun and vibrant colors on this card, which I will list at the end of this post. I was happy to see that this set featured so many stars. I love Christmas stars.

IMG_1114

The greeting is perfect for this "super star" card. Its so nice that the thinlits make the holes around the star so that I can use the new cherry cobbler bakers twine to  stitch around it and give it some beautiful texture and dimension.

I hope you enjoyed this brightly shining Christmas card.
