Sunburst Sayings

Happy Birthday Wild Thing

I had to make a quick birthday card today for someone who loves animal print and fun colors.

So I grabbed my "Sunburst Thinlits" die and "Sunburt Sayings" stamp set to design the perfect card.

Of course the Stampin' Up! "Go Wild" designer series paper pack fit the theme perfectly.

The cardstock colors that I used are pool party and tip top taupe. I also used the tip top taupe ink to stamp the greeting. A little bling-ity, bling to add some sparkle was the perfect touch. I love Stampin' Up's rhinestone jewels. They look good on everything!

This card was so super easy, I was able to design it in no time at all. The Sunburst framelit makes it so easy to create a card. Its the only design element needed. A couple of circle punches and it was finished. But it's nice to add some extra accents too.

It's a wild and crazy card for a wild and crazy (and really fun) friend. I hope she likes it.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I sure appreciate you for taking the time to view my creations!

Stampin' Up! Meeting: #1 Stampers had something up theirs sleeves...

I always look forward to gathering with my team for our bi-monthly meetings. Its one of my most favorite things about being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. I get to spend time with people who love what they do and have fun doing it.

Tonight was extra special- even though I had no idea it would be. The girls surprised me with a cake to celebrate my $600,000 personal sales milestone with Stampin' Up! Not only a cake but beautiful handstamped cards and gifts too.

I was totally surprised. When they brought in the cake, I actually thought is was someone's birthday and they forgot to tell me.

How sweet is this?!

I was blown away by these gorgeous cards!

After the celebration we got down to business (and stamping) This is one of the projects we made. This bright and sassy Make N Take was designed by Sue Brennan. I am diggin' the paper piercing and bright sunny colors of this card.

Kathy, Amy, Elaine, Kristi and Mary Ann. Having a great time chatting, stamping and swapping...

Sue prepping for her make n take as Ronnie observes.

Darlene and Sheila discussing stamping strategies.

Darlene Nanni demonstrated this stunning sponging technique. The colors she choose blended beautifully together. We all ooh'd and awed as Darlene sponged her way to sunset perfection.

Here are a couple of happy stampers, Lori Wiest and Sue Errera showing off some of their fabulous swaps from tonight.

What a great night we had. Thanks to all of my #1 Stampers who always make our meetings fun and memorable. Love you guys!

Oh the Sparkle

Its no secret that I love glitz, glimmer, sparkle and bling. So when I saw this new Sunburst thinlit die in the Occasions Catalog, my mind went straight to the idea of glittery sunshine. If you really want to let someone know that they "brighten your day" this is the definitely the card to get that message across.

I designed the gold foil and blackberry bliss card first. I thought the colors complimented each other well. The gold glimmer paper and gold foil sheets played off of the blackberry bliss so beautifully.

What I did here was die cut three different pieces of cardstock with the Sunburst thinlit. The first was the full size sunburst in gold glimmer paper. The second was with the gold foil sheets and then I used a 2.5 " circle punch to punch out the middle of the die cut piece and attached it to the full size sunburst. I did the same with the gold glimmer paper again and punched the middle out with the 2" circle punch and the last circle in gold foil was punched with the 1 3/4" cirle punch.

I then embossed the greeting from the new Sunburst Sayings stamp set ( which coordinates with the thinlit) in gold emboss powder onto the gold foil circle.

Warning: You may need your shades for this one...

Oh how it sparkles.

For the whisper white card, I wanted to use the left over pieces from the first card.

So, I used the thinlit to line up the pieces on the white cardstock so I knew where to attach them to the front of the card.

Ahh.. If I could wear this, I would.

I sure hope this post has brightened your day.

I can think of a few special people who I could send this to..

Will one of them be you?
