Sweet Little Something

Easter Bunny/Baby card Simple Eclipse Technique

Easter is just around the corner and this " Sweet Little Something" bunny is perfect for Easter cards and pages. I actually made this as a baby card, but it is just as great as an Easter card.

The colors are whisper white, pink pirouette and berry burst cardstocks as well as pink pirouette, sweet sugarplum and berry burst inks. I stamped them in that order.

This card uses a simple Eclipse technique. I used only one heart from the Sweet and Sassy hearts framelits set. I first stamped the bunny on the whisper white, then cut out the heart over the bunny head. Next, I attached the whisper white that had the heart cut out of it, to the berry burst cardstock, using dimensionals, so that it was elevated. Finally, I placed the heart cut out back into the open heart space and glued it down.

Here, you see the dimension from the Eclipse technique. To see another sample of this technique, click here. I also used the gorgeous berry burst ribbon and a few scattered pearl jewels to add a more feminine touch. I placed the pearls directly on some of the dots formed by the Softly Falling emboss folder.

So, for both a new baby or a sweet bunny Easter card, its perfect either way! The Sweet Little Something stamp set, is a must have this season.

Stampin Up Bunny- Sweet Little Something stamp set

I was using my new Stampin Up Stamparatus tool (coming in June, if you didn't reserve yours early) and the Bunny from "Sweet Little Something" stamp set was the perfect 3 step stamp to practice with.

This bunny looks so real! I was in the mood to make something soft and sweet. So a baby card using pink pirouette and crumb cake inks and cardstocks was the perfect combination to go with the darling bunny stamp.

I stamped the bunny in sahara sand, crumb cake and early espresso inks. It almost looks like I can feel the fluffy stuffed bunny's fur. It looks so soft and realistic.

I layered the bunny on a circle that I cut out with the Layering Circle Framelits in whisper white and pink pirouette cardstock. A doily was added to give the card dimension and texture as well as using the Cable Knit emboss folder in the background.

A crumb cake ribbon and pink pirouette Enamel heart give the baby card a special touch. I used the verse from the Layering Love stamp set. I thought it was perfect for a baby card.

Don't forget the inside... a tiny heart border in crumb cake ink.

I hope you like my Sweet Little Somethings card. Thanks for visiting today!
