This Little Piggy

Stampin' Up Barn Door Stamps and Dies

I have some fun cards to share with you today, made with the new Stampin' Up Barn Door Bundle.

Its such a fun set to play with. I've created 3 different designs and one of them we will make at Card Class this week. Yay!

The first card is also made with the " This Little Piggy" stamp set. I thought it would be fun to put the piggy in the barn. It works perfectly with this set. I will post a Stampin' Up video below, showing just how to make a barn door card with the Barn Door Bundle. So scroll to the bottom of this post to see it.

The cardstock that I used is whisper white and basic black and also the Woodgrain Designer Series paper. The inks are smoky slate, crumb cake, pink pirouette, and the memento black pad.

I colored in the pig with the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers. I used both the smoky slate and pink pirouette sets of markers.

If you watch the video below, you will also get a list of the "behind the scenes" items that were used to put this card together. I will also post the supply list below.

I used the Stampin Write water based markers to color directly on the wreath stamp in crumb cake, pink pirouette and basic black.

How cool is this? The door slides back and forth to reveal the message. The whisper white piece that has the pig/message stamped on it is 41/4" x 2 1/2". The card base is 5 1/2 x 4 1/4.  The door is cut out with a framelit from the barn door set.

This is the card that we will be making at Card Class this week:

I hope the card class girls like it!

The colors are whisper white, crumb cake and basic black- same for the inks as well as cherry cobbler. I also used the Hardwood Background stamp for the card base. Same measurements as above.

I colored the wreath, the same way as above... using the early espresso and cherry cobbler Stampin' Write markers.

It's so fun to slide the door back and forth!

Here are both cards:

And slide...

One last quick card that I made while I had extra pieces to use up...

The inks on the sign, greeting and flowers are dapper denim, calyso coral and marina mist.

She thought she could... so she did- Another Eclipse Technique card

Well, its not a Christmas card that I'm posting on the day before Christmas, but a congratulatory card that I made for a sweet friend.

I've been so busy preparing for Christmas Eve and Christmas day, that I haven't had a chance to post on my blog!

I made this card a couple of weeks ago and wanted to wait to share it, until my friend received it. So, today, is the day.

Its a card that I made with the "This Little Piggy" stamp set. I again used the Eclipse Technique for this special card.

I had this idea in my head and couldn't wait to get it on paper. My friend accomplished something great, so I wanted to celebrate her achievement.

"Yay" was what came to mind... so thats what I spelled out with the Large Letters Framelit dies.

I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them in with our New Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

I love how it turned out.

To learn how I did the Eclipse Technique, click here to see an earlier post, explaining the technique.

I used the pink pirouette light and dark markers as well as the pool party and the light rich razzleberry marker to color in the images. I also added some dazzling diamonds glitter with a thin swipe of the fine tip glue pen and patted it with my finger.

Of course, I can't forget the inside!

The cardstock colors are whisper white, pink pirouette and sweet sugar plum. I think my friend liked the card- she said it brightened her day!

Although this isn't a Christmas card, I would like to wish you all a blessed Christmas and hope you are celebrating with lots of family and friends.

Until the next time...

Eclipse Technique Valentine Card

It may be a little early for Valentines Day cards, but I couldn't resist playing around with this popular new technique that I have been waiting to try. The eclipse technique is so very cool and super easy.

If you are attending card class this week, we will be making an eclipse card, so you're in luck!

For this card, I used the "This Little Piggy" stamp set and the new Stampin' Blends Markers. Of course it wouldn't be an eclipse technique without the main product... the Large Letters Framelit Dies.

The card base is real red 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" card, Quilted Christmas designer paper is cut 5 1/4" x 4 and the whisper white is 5" x 3 3/4".

How stinkin' cute is this little piggy!?

All I did was stamp the image with the tuxedo black Memento ink pad, onto whisper white cardstock, and colored it in with the Stampin Blends alcohol markers, in pink pirouette, old olive and daffodil delight. I then cut the X and O out with the Big Shot and Large Letters Framelits dies.

Next, I mounted my whisper white cardstock onto my card- and attached the die cut X and O (in the cut out spaces) with mini dimensionals.

Don't forget the inside:

Thats it! Super simple.

I hope my card class attendees will love the card I have for them this week- its also Valentine related.

Thanks for stopping by today...

Quick and Cute Piggy

I've got another cute little piggy card to share with you today. Its very simple but very sweet.

I used watercolor paper and aqua painters to watercolor the little pig. Its as simple as squeezing the lids of the inkpads, into the pad itself and picking up the deposited bit of ink on the inside of the lid with the aqua painter and coloring the image. I used the new "in color", powder pink, as well as flirty flamingo and a bit of pear pizazz for the grass.

How do you like the new "Oh My Stars" emboss folder that I used on the whisper white background? Pretty cool, huh?

I cut the scallop circle from the crumb cake cardstock with the Layering Circles framlits and also used the crumb cake cardstock for the card base.

I finished the card with the new powder pink finely woven ribbon and attached it with a glue dot.

On the inside, I used the verse "Says Thanks!" I'm just loving This Little Piggy and I think you will too!

Thanks for stopping by.

This Little Piggy- Cute, New Catalog stamp set

I want to share another piggy card- just because I love it so much! The set is called "This Little Piggy" and its so super cute. I don't know how anyone could not love this little bugger.

I love the happy skip that this little piggy has. Isn't she cute?

This is a very pretty in pink, piggy card. Say that 3 times fast! I used the Sparkle emboss folder for the melon mambo strip down the middle and framed it in basic black cardstock, along with the pink pirouette for the card base.

I also used shimmery white cardstock to stamp the pig on, because it holds up to watercoloring really well. The Stitched Shapes framelits was used to cut out the square.

Such a happy card, perfect for a "happy mail" day.

Hope you are having a happy day too.

Thanks for visiting!
