This week I've been trying to catch up on my shopping, cleaning, baking and stamping. Needless to say, I haven't gotten too far.
I don't know if its the weather that is throwing me off, but since its been so warm, I keep thinking I have more time to get ready for Christmas. But I don't. Its next week!
A couple of friends and I had a trip planned to Kraynaks last week. We went this week instead because of my son having to go to the ER and Hand Specialist last week.
For those of you who don't know, Kraynaks is a cool store about an hour from where I live. It's THE place to be at Christmas time.
It has a beautiful display of Christmas Trees all decorated in a variety of themes. Plus, its a cool store for candy, toys and unique items.
This was one of my favorite trees - I love pink
We also decided to have lunch and do an ornament gift exchange during our trip. I bought snowman ornaments for my two friends, Lori and BJ.
I went with the whole snowman theme, ornament, handsoap and candy, because who doesn't love snowmen?!
Here's a photo of Lori and BJ with their snowman themed gifts.
I used the Snow Place stamp set and matching Snow Friends framelits with black and red glimmer paper. I mounted it on a real red oval cut with the Oval Framelits and topped it off with real red pom pom trim and glitter.
But that's not all. Imagine my surprise when Lori and BJ suprised me with an early birthday celebration, complete with presents, lunch and CAKE! My friend Lucy was in on the surprise too, but couldn't be there.
My dear friends made my day extra special and I love that I was totally surprised. We had an awesome day and I was so grateful that I had some special time with long-time friends.
One last thing while we are on the subject of snowmen- or were on the subject a minute ago... This has nothing to do with our trip to Kraynaks or anything for that matter.
I just wanted to show you my cute sparkly pedicure and the adorable snowman ornament that my friend Tracy gave me:
And speaking of ornament/gift exchanges- I'm going to squeeze in a photo of my friends Joyce and Tracy with the owl ornaments that I gave them. These were actually made of paper. I think I could use the Stampin' Up corregated paper and do something similar.
Hope you all are enjoying holiday festivities and fun gift exchanges whatever the holiday that you celebrate.
And don't forget to throw in a hand stamped tag!
Keep on Stampin' and Come back again soon!
