Unique Card Folds: Dutch Door Fold with Cool Treats stamp set
February 25, 2017
Today I want to share with you a card fold called "Dutch Door Fold." I was in my friend Linda Bauwins stamp studio a few weeks ago and noticed this cool fold. She always has such fun and creative folds to share.
I used the Cool Treats Bundle to make this special card. Its really quite easy, and really cute.
Here's the closed card. It looks pretty much like a basic card except for the split down the middle.
When I stamped the ice cream on both cones, I used the "stamp off "method. So, I used the flirty flamingo for one of the cones, but I inked the stamp, then stamped off once onto my scratch paper before I stamped the image. Next, I inked up the detail of the cone in the same color, and stamped it directly onto the ice cream. This gives it a perfect two tone effect using the same color. I did the same with the peek a boo peach ice cream.
Here's another look at the Dutch Door fold:
I'm going to give you the measurements of the cardstock, so that you can create your own Dutch Door fold.
