Stamping Technique- Orange Peel with Video

I was honored to be asked to do a presentation and demonstration at the Stampin' Up! Live "On Stage" Convention last year in SLC.  As many of you recall, I shared some of the cards with you from the stamping demonstration that I did.

Many of you asked for a video of the orange peel technique. At the time, I had not started doing videos. So, since I've recently started making videos on You Tube, I thought this was as good a time as any to share the technique again with you- especially since the awesome, Fresh Fruit stamp set is about to retire. Its the perfect set to use with this technique.

I call this the "orange peel" technique, because it looks the the skin of an orange when its finished.

Its an embossing technique, using inks, water, watercolor paper and clear emboss powder.

I'll share a few samples with you here and the video will be featured below. I hope you enjoy it!

I used the Fresh Fruit stamp set and Farm Stand designer paper, along with the Cucumber Crush striped ribbon- all of which are retiring. Order these items here- before they are gone! (then click on Shop Now to take you to the retired list) Or click on the actual products listed at the end of this post to order.

Here's a close up of the peach using the Orange Peel technique:

This technique gives the stamped image, that bumpy, uneven, shiny, orange peel texture. Its really very pretty.

Here are a few other samples before you watch the video:

It looks like dew drops on the Fresh Fruit flower images, doesn't it?

Be sure to check out the video below.

Its such a "fun" and "wow" technique. I hope you give it a try!

Until the next time...

Keep on Stampin' and Come back again soon!
