Stamping Fun with Seasonal Chums- A Cute Little Reindeer

I was finally able to get some stampin' time in today, so I grabbed my Seasonal Chums stamp set and coordinating Seasonal Tags framelits and started inkin' up my stamps.

I chose the cute little reindeer as my focal point for this card. He's got the sweetest little face. I also haven't used my new Snowflake emboss folder yet, so I chose that for my background.

This stamp set is made so that when its stamped, it can be cut out with the Seasonal Tag framelits to make a tag- it has a front and back. I did use the front and the back of the reindeer, and you'll see that later in my post.

I didn't want to do a lot of coloring - so I stamped the reindeer onto crumb cake cardstock. The color was already there, so no coloring in on his body. Just a few highlights with a marker, here and there. I also used our chalk marker for the antlers, spots and tail. Isn't he the cutest?

I LOVE sparkle, so I wanted to add a layer of dazzling diamonds glimmer paper around the edges, but I didn't want to waste all that glimmer by hiding it behind my Winter Wonder embossed snowflake layer. I used my paper trimmer to cut the inside of the glimmer paper, so I could save it for another project.

Using my fine tip glue pen, I outlined the raised edges on the Winter Wonder embossed snowflake and added dazzling diamonds glitter to make is sparkle like fresh falling snow.

The pearl jewels fit nicely in the design of the Winter Wonder embossed snowflake.

I stamped the greeting in crumb cake ink and punched it out with the 1" circle punch and tucked it under the crumb cake ribbon.

I added a little bit of sparkle to the crumb cake ribbon by adding another knot of silver ribbon on top of it, using a glue dot.

I used dimensionals to pop up the Winter Wonder embossed snowflake layer from the card. The dimensionals also stick to glimmer paper really well.

Why, its on the "back" of the card, of course.

Stampin Up Colorful Seasons Z Card Fold

I've got another triple Z fold card to share with you today. I posted one last week made with a birthday stamp set, and today I'm using the Colorful Seasons Bundle to make a fall card.

I used the beautiful leaves from the Colorful Seasons stamp set. This stamp set is a two step stamp set- which means the stamps are layered on top of each other in different colors to create shading and dimension.

 A tip when stamping the large leaves- stamp the outline image first and then the solid image. I used pumpkin pie, rich razzleberry and pear pizzaz inks on this card.

I added some fun embellishments too! Gold faceted gems, enamel shapes and gold metallic shapes.

 I wanted to give the card the look of tree bark, so I added the Pinewood Plank emboss folder to add some detailed woodgrain dimesion to the top flap of the card. I love how it turned out.

Its officially fall and I think this card is a perfect greeting for the season.

How to Card Fold Tutorial : Triple Z Fold with Happiest of Days Birthday Stamp Set

I spent most of the weekend cleaning and organizing my stamp room. What a huge job that was! I am so happy to have that finished and behind me now.

So, this morning, I couldn't wait to get into my stamp room and play. I wanted to try a card fold that I haven't done before. I decided on a birthday set, called Happiest of Days to be the focal point of this unique Triple Z card fold.

I started with a 4 1/4" x 11 piece of flirty flamingo as the card base. It is folded in half and the front flap is folded in half again so that the bottom edge is touching the top fold of the card. (or you can score the front flap at 2 3/4")

The inside/outside scored piece of basic grey is cut 9" x 3 1/4"

The whisper white pieces are 2 3/4" x 3"

I scored the basic grey at 3" and 6"

To add color and shimmer to the flowers, I used a Wink of Stella brush in clear and dipped it into drops in ink refills (or you can press the lid of your inkpad into the actual inkpad itself to pick up some color on the lid and dip your brush into it)

I used flirty flamingo and melon mambo for the flower and wild wasabi for the leaves.

I love the soft shimmer that the Wink of Stella clear brush gives the flowers and leaves.

When attaching the basic grey cardstock to the flirty flamingo card base, I centered it on the card so that there was about 

1 1/4" inches left at the top and the bottom of the flirty flamingo basecard. Here's a side view.

The top flap is embossed with the Layered Leaves embossing folder. Its looks perfect on this soft and pretty birthday card.

I finished it off with a few rhinestone jewels, enamel shapes and Smoky Slate Gingham Ribbon.

Stampin' Up! super fancy "Glam" Mittens

I was playing around with the Smitten Mittens set today, trying out some project ideas. Out of the blue I decided to glam up these adorable mittens with some foil sheets and glimmer paper.

This didn't have anything to do with the projects I set down to design. I kind of went off in another direction and felt I needed to make a card with everything shiny and sparkly. I was just in a fancy, glittery mood, I guess.

I think I used everything Stampin' Up! carries that has glimmer or shine. The mittens were diecut from the gold glimmer paper and I also used silver and gold foil sheets in the background.

The snowflakes on the mittens are diecut with the Many Mittens framelits as well. They are cut from the dazzling diamonds glimmer paper.

I layered the mittens on one of our new Foil Snowflakes in silver.

The two emboss folders I used are Softly Falling and Cable Knit. So perfect for a mitten card!

Gold Sequin trim and Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon tie up the mittens just right.

I used little hearts from the Metallic Enamel Shapes packet and a tiny pearl jewel on the word Smitten.

This card sparkles and shines like a golden fire cracker. Its so glam!

Who says, you can't mix silver and gold?

A few dimensionals and a glue dot for the bow, hold it all together.

Stampin' Up! Watercolor Christmas Card Kit

I have a super cute and fun Christmas card kit to share with you today. This was so easy to put together, I think it took me all of 45 minutes.

I made 20 cards with envelopes and only had to supply my own adhesive.

This is the Watercolor Christmas Project kit:

And these are the cards and envelopes made with the kit. The envelopes are actually already regular envelopes- you just need to slide the gold lining inside.

The coordinating, Watercolor Christmas stamp set was used to stamp the greetings on the cards.

There are 20 cards, (5) each of four designs.

Scissors are also needed, to cut the sequin trim. I had a lot of trim left over to use on another project later.

Its so quick and easy to assemble, I almost didn't have to read the instructions that were included. I basically just looked at the photos.

I used tiny dots of our multi purpose glue to adhere the sequins.

And just like that, I've got 20 Christmas cards made already and its only September!

Cute Halloween Greeting Cards

Falls here and halloween is just around the corner. If you've never sent halloween cards in the past, maybe this year you can start a new tradition and surprise your friends and family with cute cards in the mail!

I used the ever so cute pumpkins from the Pick a Pumpkin stamp set in the new Holiday Catalog. There is an optional "face" for the pumpkins just for halloween. Or you can leave the pumpkin faceless :)

I'm loving the combination of basic black with the lemon lime twist cardstock. The black and white ribbon is so awesome, I want to use it on everything! It has a shiny coating and thick stitching on the edges.. so gorgeous. I just realized this is a different card from above... almost exactly the same except I used perfect plum as the card base and trim. The greeting is on a wisteria wonder circle instead of pumpkin pie cardstock. Oh my... I guess I was having too much fun playing with this set!

Here we go.. here's a photo of both cards.

I made a big bunch of them to send out to my stampin' friends.

I made this one too. I am smitten with this ribbon.. can't use it enough, that's for sure. And just how cute is that tiny spider web from the coordinating Patterned Pumpkins framelit set??
