Petal Palette and Stampin' Blends

One of the first sets that I ordered from the Stampin Up Occasions Catalog was the Petal Palette stamp set and coordinating dies. This set is not only lovely, but comes with some wonderful greetings and verses.

I have actually used these greetings many times with other stamp sets, because they are so perfect for many occasions.

For this card I also used the Petal Passion designer paper. This paper is all black and white and so beautiful. It goes with every color of the rainbow! The patterns are gorgeous as well.

I first stamped my roses in memento black ink, and then colored them in with the Stampin Blends Alcohol markers. I used the rich razzleberry light and dark, pink pirouette dark, and old olive light and dark markers.

I punched a hole in the designer paper with the 2 1/4" circle punch and mounted the roses over the hole with dimensionals. A strip of the new Myths and Magic glimmer paper in lemon lime twist adds some sparkle.

  IMG_E2719

Check out the new Glitter and Clear Epoxy shapes on the rose petals. I thought I would use them as "dew" on the petals.

IMG_2714

The black and white designer paper really makes the color of the roses "pop." I am loving this paper more and more, each time I use it.

IMG_2717

Sweet and simple on the inside, for the bride and groom.

Check out the Petals Palette bundle in the Occasions Catalog- link on sidebar,(2nd catalog down) or below in the product list. There is so much more to this bundle than you see here. I think it will be one of your favorites as well.

Stampin Up Amazing Congratulations

What a cool 3 step stamp set, I must say. The Amazing Congratulations stamps are made to layer and blend together as you stamp them.

I used 3 colors for the word "congratulations." The colors are dark to light, dapper denim, bermuda bay and marina mist.

This card is super simple. It doesn't need a lot of embellishments, because the color layering does all the talking!

IMG_2712

I started with the dapper denim outline stamp and filled in with the other two colors. I found it so much easier to line up this way. I also found that if I focus on lining up the full letters only, it goes together really well.

IMG_2711

Check out that beautiful marbled background. I used the Marble background stamp, inked in marina mist and stamped on marina mist for a tone on tone look. A small Enamel Shape in dapper denim tops off the greeting.

IMG_2710

That's it. Super quick and super special.

Thanks for checking out my blog today.

Valentine with a fun Surprise inside

Another valentine card made and ready to be given to someone sweet. I used the Heart Happiness stamp set and coordinating Sweet and Sassy framelits. Because, as you know, I LOVE Valentines and hearts and pretty paper!

I only used one ink pad on this card- calypso coral. It looks like the heart has more than one color, but that is because of the unique carving of this beautiful stamp.

IMG_2648

The cardstock used is whisper white, pink pirouette and melon mambo. I also used the gorgeous Painted with Love designer paper and Gold Glimmer paper.

IMG_2644

I used the new gold tinsel trim to make a bow and attached an Enamel Glitter Dot over the knot in the ribbon.

IMG_2649

So, do you want to see what's inside?

IMG_2645

A cute little "pop up" heart <3

I can't get enough of this beautiful designer paper..

  IMG_2646

The verse is borrowed from the Painted Palette stamp set.

I hope you are having fun making your valentines for next month.

Thanks again for stopping by!

Valentine Card in 3-D

I'm going to share a pretty simple Valentine, (love, wedding or anniversary) card with you today. There's not much stamping going on, just some simple die cuts and folds.

I used the Sweet and Sassy heart framelit dies, the Diagonal Stripe Background stamp, berry burst metalic edge ribbon, sweet sugarplum cardstock, powder pink cardstock and rich razzleberry ink for this 3 dimensional valentine.

IMG_2672

This is the card from the top, looking down on it.

IMG_2674

And here it is from the side.

IMG_2673

I cut 8 of the largest hearts in the Sweet and Sassy framelit set. And then scored them down the middle with the Simply Scored tool. This photo shows 3 of the 8 hearts.

IMG_2650

Next, I attached them back to back on only one side of the heart.

IMG_2651

I did this with all 8 hearts.

IMG_2653

The back will end up like this. This will be what you will adhere to the card. NOTE: the hearts in these photos are smaller than the hearts on the card. But still the same technique was used.

IMG_2654

This is what the front of all the hearts looks like, once you have all 8 attached to each other.

IMG_2655

After you attach the 3 D heart to the front of the card- fluff it out. The hearts actually lay flat inside an envelope and pop up once taken out of the envelope, so its easy to send in the mail!

IMG_2672

I hope you give this 3 D pop up a try. It really is simple, but packs a punch!

A Couple of shares from the Stampin Up Convention

I have two projects that I forgot to share with you. I made these during the Stampin Up Convention Make n Take event.

The first card is made with the Petal Palette stamp set. The designer paper on this card is called Petal Passion and its all black and white patterns. However, we colored in some of the images on the paper with a calypso coral Stampin Write marker to match the bird and cardstock. This way, we can make it any color we want!

IMG_1792

I love the layout and the layering on this card and also the little details, like the Petal Passion silver flower and leaf embellishments, tucked within the layers of the card.

IMG_1794

Here's one more project for you. A couple of darling little tags made with the Fruit Basket stamp set and coordinating punches.

Of course, I LOVE the tiny little pineapples! I can't wait to make them PINK!

IMG_1796

The punches are so cute - theres also a strawberrry and a citrus slice (the hole in the top of the tag is actually punched with the citrus slice) as well as the pear and pineapple punches. The Tutti Frutti designer paper is new too. These patterns are subtle, but there are so many bright and fruity patterns as well, in this package.

My Pretty Valentine- Stampin' Up Style

Yes, its time for another pretty Valentine! I had so much fun making this one. Its all the colors that I love and even some glimmer and shine!

I made this for a swap that I host with other demonstrators across US and Canada. I'm so excited to share this Heart Happiness stamp set and the gorgeous "Painted with Love" designer paper.

I used powder pink, melon mambo and whisper white cardstock, as well as gold glimmer paper.

To cut out the heart window and the smaller hearts, I used the Sweet and Sassy heart shaped framelit dies. I attached some dimensionals behind the heart window to pop it up from the card.

IMG_2514

Its so vibrant and shiny in real life. I wish you could see that in these photos.

IMG_2513

Here's the inside. Sweet and simple. This is the only place that I actually used the Heart Happiness stamp set. The colors are calypso coral, rich razzleberry and melon mambo. The verse on the front of the card is from a new set called, "Petal Palette."

IMG_2510

Isn't the "Painted with Love" designer paper, stunning?

IMG_2512

The "Love" mini tinsel trim is new in the Occasions catalog as well. It comes in powder pink (shown here) and gold.

IMG_2509

I cut the powder pink cardstock 4" x 3 3/4" on top- the smaller piece is 4" x 1 1/2" on bottom. The strip of designer paper on the bottom of the card is 4" x 3/4" and the gold glimmer is 4" x 1/2". The designer paper behind the cut out heart is 1/4" smaller each way than the powder pink. The whisper white card is the standard 4 1/4" x 11- then folded in half.

IMG_2508

Oh how I love these beautiful colors, especially for Valentines Day.

IMG_2507

I can't wait for my friends to get their cards. I even made a few for my friends and family at home.

Thanks so much for visiting today.
