Kick off to my 20 Year Anniversary Celebration

As you may know by now, I am celebrating 20 years with Stampin' Up! I can not believe its been that long. I have to say its been an amazing journey. I've met so many wonderful people, customers, team members and fellow demonstrators that have become great friends and people that I love and admire. If not for Stampin' Up, I would not have met most of them!

I kicked off my anniversary celebration at my team meeting last week as well as a little party will some of my stampin friends at class.

Check out the awesome cake that my friend Mary brought to our team meeting. It was beautiful and so delicious too!

I had yummy snacks for my team meeting and my Thursday night ladies as well.

IMG_1901

A strip of designer paper makes the water bottles look so much prettier, don't you think?

IMG_1902

I also decorated some cupcakes using the Tabs for Everything stamp set and the Circle Tab Punch.

IMG_1903

These are little gift bags I made for all the girls that attended my team meeting that night. I used the Pansy Punch and the Leaf Punch.

We also had some fun stamping, swapping and winning prizes. This is one of the cards that we made. Its a new set coming in June. Actually.... this will be one of the "special" Share What You Love, bundles that can be pre ordered in May. All bundles come with FREE product as well. Look for the announcement in May!

IMG_1907

We also celebrated during my Thursday night class.

Here's Tammy with two of the cards she made. See previous posts for details on both of these cards.

IMG_1855

We used "Let the Good Times Roll" stamp set and dies to create this cute roller coaster card.

IMG_1810

The ink colors used were: pumpkin pie, real read, emerald envy, tempting turquoise, soft sky, daffodil delight and basic black. Cardstock colors were whisper white and tempting turquoise. It was so fun to make!

Sharen really enjoyed making her cards, as you can see.

Watercoloring : In The Trees stamp set

I have another In The Trees card to share with you today. I love using the watercolor pencils and aqua painters with this set. Especially on the trees. I used both the old olive and bermuda bay pencils to lightly color randomly to fill in the leaves. Then used the aqua painter to swoosh and blend it altogether.

IMG_1174

Naturally, I used the watercolor paper for this. It holds up to the aqua painter really well and I love the texture it brings to my projects.

I sprinkled a few Glitter epoxy shapes around the sky and background. I love these things, why do they have to be retiring? Got to stock up, before they sell out!

IMG_1175

I embossed the soft sky background with the Simply Stripes emboss folder. Kind of looks like ship lap, right? The other cardstock colors are whisper white and dapper denim.

IMG_1174

We made this at card class last week too. It was an easy coloring project for the ladies.

I hope you like it!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Pizza Card- using Party Hat Birthday bundle

Today, I want to share my fabulous pizza card that I mentioned last week. I used the Party Hat Birthday stamp set and coordinating dies, which is retiring, by the way. So sad. This set not only makes great Party Hats, but also fantastic pizza cards as well. I bet it would be just as great to make a slice of apple pie too!

The colors that I used are cherry cobbler, crumb cake, always artichoke, whisper white and basic black cardstocks. I used the cherry cobbler, basic black and so saffron inks as well.

IMG_1827

How cool is this? Nothing like the perfect stamp set to make my most favorite food, into a card! This would be great on a pizza party scrapbook page as well. I saw the pizza idea on pinterest, from Lynn Starzl. I knew I had to design a pizza card with my own twist.

I also used the Ruffled emboss folder on the black background.. kind of like a table cloth effect.

IMG_1828

To make the olives and peppers, I used the 1/2" , 3/4", 1" and 1 3/8" circle punches. The largest punch was used to make the cherry cobbler colored pepperoni. I crinkled up the pepperoni to give it more dimension and texture.

This is how I made the olives and peppers: I punched a 1/2" hole in black cardstock, then I placed the 3/4" circle punch around the hole and punched it out to form the olive slice.

IMG_1825

I used the 1" circle punch to punch a hole in the always artichoke cardstock, then placed the same punch around one side of the punched hole to make the slice of pepper.

IMG_1826

I used the spatter stamp from the Magical Mermaid stamp set to add splatters to the "cheese" and "pepperoni". I also used a stampin sponge dipped in so saffron ink, to rub over the pizza slice to make it look more like "cheese".

IMG_1829

I hope you're able to get this Party Hat Birthday stamp set and die before it retires next month! I have one more card to share with you, made with this set... so stay tuned!

Until the next time...

Card Class Cuties

The Hedgehugs set is one of the cutest sets in the Stampin Up Occasions catalog. We made a monochromatic hedgehog card with chocolate chip ink and very vanilla cardstock.

IMG_1192

The background was stamped in chocolate chip as well, with the Tree Rings background stamp.

I also used the 1" and 1 1/4" circle punches for the greeting.

IMG_1191

The one little splash of color is the flower, which was colored with the real red, Stampin' Write marker.

A folded piece of crumb cake ribbon gives this card some softness and texture. I also used the Seaside emboss folder to add some texture to the strip of chocolate chip cardstock.

IMG_1190

Quick and cute. And just a note, the chocolate chip ink and cardstock is retiring. Get it soon, before its gone!

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Until the next time...

Stampin Up Party Hat Birthday- Retiring soon.

I had to show you the Party Hat Birthday stamp set and coordinating bundle, before it retires at the end of May.

Its such a unique set and once you see it, you'll know why. We are going to use this bundle at Card Class this week. However, this isn't the card we will make- I'll post the Card Class card, later in the week.

I used some fun, bright birthday colors for this card. The stamp set is a one, two or three step stamp set.

I chose to stamp all three layers of designs on the hat. Each stamp layers over the other and fills in the empty spaces. So, as you can see here- the 3 different colors that I used are actually the 3 different stamps in the set.

The melon mambo images are all on one stamp, the lemon lime twist images are all on one stamp and the pumpkin pie images are all on one stamp. So as I stamp each color, I fill in the party hat.

The dies cut out the images in the hat too. I'll show how that works, when I post the card from Card Class later in the week.

IMG_1812

I used the coordinating cardstock colors of melon mambo and lemon lime twist as well as basic black and whisper white. The glimmer paper is from the Myths and Magic glimmer paper pack- which is also retiring.

IMG_1813

I stamped the gift box in melon mambo ink on melon mambo cardstock for a cute tone on tone background. I love that there are so many cool framelit dies with this bundle, like the banner, hat, trim and star.

IMG_1816

I just think its so cool how I can get so many images, in so many colors by only stamping 3 times! I'll post the photo of the stamp set below this post, so you can see the 3 stamps I used on this party hat.

IMG_1818

You'll love the other 2 samples I have with this set as well. One is a piece of pizza!

So don't forget to come back to check them out soon.

Thanks for stopping by.
