Stampin Up Serene Garden in Coastal Cabana

The Serene Garden stamp set and coordinating dies are a pretty and elegant bundle. I chose to do this card in only two colors, whisper white and coastal cabana.

IMG_2979

The coordinating framlit dies, actually come with an embossing die as you can see in the bottom left of the card. These framelits are so cool and add an extra wow element to the card.

IMG_2981

This is a better photo. I didn't have a great focus or angle on the photo above. The dove and flowers were also stamped in coastal cabana and die cut. I attached them with dimensionals.

IMG_2980

This is such a simple and elegant card. The white polka dotted tulle adds a softening touch to this get well card.

Serene Garden is the perfect set for so many occasions, like, weddings, anniversaries, get well, thinking of you, sympathy and more.

I hope you liked my quick and easy coastal cabana card.

Peaceful Reflection in Pink

I have another Peaceful Reflection card to share with you today. This is the stamp set that can be used to make a reflection in the water, by flipping the actual photopolymer stamp over on the block and stamping with it.

IMG_2496

I used petal pink, and shaded spruce cardstock as well as lemon lime twist, petal pink, shaded spruce, lovely lipstick an balmy blue inks. For the splatter, I dipped an aqua painter in a puddle of lemon lime twist ink, and flicked it over the cardstock.

IMG_2494

As I mentioned, I did the reflection with the same stamps that I stamped the green plants in, only I flipped them over on the acrylic block to the flat side of the stamp. I did stamp off first with the balmy blue ink, before stamping the reflection. ( stamping off: ink stamp, then stamp on scratch paper right before stamping on the card for a softer color)

IMG_2410

IMG_2411

For the layered background, I attached a 5 1/4 x 4" piece of petal pink at an angle to the front of the card.

IMG_2504

Then, I turned the card over trimmed off the over-hang pieces.

IMG_2505

I scattered a few of the Share What You Love pearls around the card and added a greeting on an oval Stitched Shape framelit.

IMG_2493

I love pinks and greens and was surprised how well the various shades meshed together so well on this card.

IMG_2492

Its effortless to make reflections with this super cool stamp set. I hope you decide to give it a try.

Stampin Up Graceful Glass Beauty

Stampin Up has introduced a new kind of vellum. Its vellum with a variety of images embossed in black onto each sheet. It is called Graceful Glass designer vellum and it is awesome!

This vellum coordinates with the new Painted Glass stamp set and framelits bundle. If you love to color, this is the perfect vellum for you. If you don't love to color- this is also great for you, because it is so easy to color because of the embossed lines. It makes it simple to stay "in the lines" with little effort.

Here I colored the stained glass window vellum with Stampin Blends alcohol markers. The markers dry nicely on the vellum. I layered a piece of whisper white cardstock behind the vellum to give the effect of light coming through the glass.

Did you know that our Liquid Multi- Purpose glue will not show through vellum? Its perfect for attaching vellum to any cardstock.

IMG_3294

The Stampin Blends that I used are rich razzleberry, old olive, daffodil delight, night of navy and calypso coral. It really was so easy to color in. The black embossed images made it easy to stay in the lines. In this picture, if you look close you can see the embossed black lines.

IMG_3297

Here's another close up.

IMG_3295

I layered soft seafoam and basic black as the card base. I think it highlights the stained glass's soft glow.

IMG_3296
The Graceful Glass vellum has many beautiful patterns. Here's another one I did with a row of birds on a wire.

IMG_3278

I used the same colors here, in addition to the pool party Stampin Blends. I also layered whisper white behind the vellum here as well.

IMG_3290

I added a bermuda bay striped ribbon around the front of the card.

IMG_3277

The Graceful Glass vellum is so elegant and such a lovely stained glass look. The greetings on both cards are from the Itty Bitty Greeting stamp set. Its perfect for a small sentiment on these cards. However, the coordinating Painted Glass stamp set also works wonderfully as well.

IMG_3279

There are so many beautiful designs and images in the Graceful Glass vellum pack, these are just two of them.

IMG_3293

I hope you give this vellum a try. Its gloriously beautiful and fun to color, for sure.

Lined Alphabet - Thanks Friend

As you know, I'm obsessed with this Lined Alphabet set and coordinating Layering Alphabet dies. And for good reason! Its amazing, fun to create with and so incredibly unique!

I went for rainbow colors this time and created a special card for a friend.

The card is the standard 5 1/2 x 4 1/4" and each piece of cardstock is cut the same size as well.

IMG_2657

The colors are real red, mango melody, pineapple punch, granny apple green, pacific point, and glorious grape. I used the Stitched Label framelits for the little granny apple green heart, because those stitched hearts are just the cutest!

IMG_2661

The sentiment comes from the Varied Vases stamp set.  I just love the font in that set- its so fun- just like this card!

I used the Lined Alphabet stamps to stamp over the letters in the same colors as the cardstock for a tone on tone look.

IMG_2668

I finished it off with a tiny rhinestone jewel placed in the middle of the stitched heart. It just gives it that little bit of sparkle at the end of the rainbow.

IMG_2656

I can't say enough about this amazing bundle. I have a sweet baby card and more fun cards to share with this set, coming soon!

Thanks friend, for stopping by today.

Stampin Up Rooted in Nature bundle

This is one of the best stamp set bundles in the entire catalog, in my opinion. The Rooted in Nature bundle is absolutely beautiful and can be used to create cards for any occasion at all. Its also perfect for creating cards for the special men in your life.

We created this monochromatic card at my team meeting earlier this month. Soft suede is the perfect color for this greeting card, because it lends itself to the colors of nature.

The card is the basic 5 1/2 x 4 1/4" card. The tree and leave cardstock pieces are 3 x 2 and 3 1/4 x 2 1/4 respectively.

IMG_1908

The designer series paper is the new Natures Poem that coordinates perfectly with this suite. You'll notice that I embossed the leaves on this card. I did that with the framelits from the Natures Roots coordinating dies. I used the new Big Shot Embossing mats to create this look.

IMG_1910

I had to use the beautiful Leaves Trinkets that are part of this suite because they are shiny and add the perfect accent to this greeting card. I attached the leaf with a glue dot. The Natures Twine looks so rustic rolled up under the 1" circle punch. Both were attached with dimensionals.

IMG_1909

This set is a classic and was actually designed to coordinate with the ever popular Lovely As A Tree samp set that has been in the catalog for as long as I've been a demonstrator. Thats over 20 years!

Hope you loved this soft suede monochromatic beauty.

Layering Alphabet in "Pinks"- Yay!

Pink is my absolute most favorite color, so I wanted to design a card made with the Layering Alphabet dies in various shades of pink.

I decided on a birthday card with the word "yay!" I had a lot of fun designing this card. It not only uses my favorite color, but it also has ribbons and sparkle too!

IMG_2667

The colors that I used on this card are lovely lipstick, melon mambo, flirty flamingo and petal pink, inks and cardstock. I also used basic black and whisper white cardstocks.

I love how it turned out!

IMG_2666

I cut each color of cardstock to a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 piece and then cut out the letters. I attached it to a basic black card measuring the same. To attach the Iridescent Sequins, I just dotted liquid multi purpose glue in the spots that I wanted to place the sequins. I then placed the sequins on top of the dollop of glue.

IMG_2662

The black satin ribbon is tied around the entire card, with a little white bakers twine bow tied on top and attached with a glue dot. I also used the mini black sequin trim to add some extra glimmer to the card.

You'll notice that the word "celebrate" is stamped on a cute little label. I die cut this with one of the dies in the new Stitched Label framelits set. The word, celebrate is from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set.

IMG_2663

And there you have it! Another fabulous greeting card, made with the Lined Alphabet stamp set and Layering Alphabet framelit bundle.
