How To: Fun Fold using the Stampin Up Birthday Cheer bundle

I love the colors of this fun fold birthday card. The various shades of coastal cabana and lovely lipstick, create kind of an ombre stripe on the front of this card.

I used the "Marbled" background stamp on this inside of this card. I think this background goes quite well with anything I pair it with!

The fold on this card is a simple z fold. Fold the whisper white 4 1/4 x 11 piece in half. Then fold the front flap back to meet the original fold. Thats it. I added a piece of 4 1/4 x 31/4 coastal cabana cardstock to the front of the folded back flap. Be sure not to add adhesive to the right side of the coastal cabana piece.

The die cut gifts are cut from a piece of 4 x 3 whisper white. I love the look of these gifts against the "How Sweet it Is" designer paper. I also stamped the flap of the card with in coastal cabana, using a stars and dots stamp from the Birthday Cheer stamp set.

The greetings are stamped in basic black ink and the greeting on the front is punched out with the Classic Label punch.

I added a few sparkling, self adhesive, Twinkle, sequin stars to the front to make it shine. The Coastal Cabana/Granny Apple Green satin ribbon is a 4" piece tied in a knot and attached with a glue dot.

Baby Card Ideas

This is such a cute baby set, called, First Steps, that I used in my recent Card Class. We made three different cards using the same layout, but in different colors. Sweet and simple.

This is the powder pink card:

I used whisper white cardstock and layered it with sahara sand cardstock and ink.

So simple and clean. The bows were attached with glue dots.

Aren't they just so sweet? The perfect card for those new little ones!

Card Idea for Fathers Day

The Geared Up Garage bundle is a perfect set for some of the men in my family. Its especially great for my dad. I made him this Fathers Day card using this set, because he's always been a "car" guy. Plus, he raced cars for 50 + years of his life!

I'm not sure if this is a Chevy or not, but I know that my dad owned a 57 Chevy when he was a teenager. I figured, it was close enough- its an antique "classic" either way, and I'm sure he will love it.

All the cool accesories, like the Classic Garage wrench and key elements, will sure to make my dad smile. I attached them with glue dots and also used the Black/Silver ribbon to play off the shine of the embellishments.

Instead of die cutting with the Garage Gears thinlits, I used them to"emboss" with. I did this by using the Big Shot Emboss Mats. It lets me emboss any die cut image instead of "cutting" it.

Pretty cool, huh?

I'm excited to give this card to my dad for Father's Day... unless I decide I can't wait, and give it to him for his birthday...

How To Sponging Technique- Stampin Up Beauty Abounds Butterfly

I used a fun sponging technique with this pretty Beauty Abounds bundle. The Butterfly dies in this set are absolutely stunning. I cut out the large, one piece butterfly die and used the negative piece to lay down on the whisper white cardstock and sponge inside with gorgeous grape ink.

The bokeh circles are included in the Beauty Abounds stamp set and they make a great background for these fluttering butterflies. I stamped them in gorgeous grape ink as well.

After I sponged inside the negative piece of the die cut, I then laid the cut out butterfly die over top of the sponging and attached with fine tip glue.

Gorgeous grape and balmy blue ink and cardstock, look pretty sweet together, don't you think?

Stampin Up Wonderful Romance Bundle

If this isn't the most pretty and romantic set, I don't know what is. The Wonderful Romance bundle has me head over heels in love. Its just so classy and elegant.

This comes with a complete suite of coordinating products. The Floral Romance designer paper, Floral Romance Seals, and of course the beautiful Lace emboss folder to name a few.

Again, pretty easy to color. I used the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers in blackberry bliss and old olive, with a touch of daffodil delight in the middle of the flower and crumb cake for the tiny spray of leaves. How cool is the self adhesive gold Floral Seal? It makes the card look so elegant.

The Floral designer paper is simply gorgeous. It includes several sheets of printed velum and the best thing about it, is that the snail adhesive doesn't show through!

This is a must have bundle and suite! Great for weddings, engagements, thinking of you and more. If you don't have it yet, you certainly should consider the worth while purchase!

How to Card Fold- Needle and Thread stamp set

I've got a cool card fold for you today. We made this card at one of my recent card classes. Its an interpretaton of a Z fold card. It looks complicated but, its really so simple!

You will cut a piece of balmy blue cardstock for the card base at 4 1/4 x 11. Fold it in half. Once you've folded it in half, you will fold the front  flap back to meet the fold of the card.

Next, cut a strip of balmy blue cardstock 11 x 1 1/2", then fold it in half. Nest you will do the same as above.. fold the front flap back to meet the fold.

The whisper white strip is cut at 1 1/4 x 5 1/4 and TWO more whisper white strips at 1 1/4 x 2 1/2"

The inside white pieces, the highland heather piece and the designer paper are cut at 2 1/2 x 4."
