Cards- Sympathy

Soft Seafoam & Serene Garden

I'm in love with the new soft seafoam ink and cardstock color that Stampin Up introduced last month. Its so soft and pretty and perfect used with the Serene Garden bundle.

IMG_3179

I paired it with some blush blossom flowers and metallic pink ribbon. This bundle is amazing! The framelits include cutting and embossing dies. I've only used the cutting dies for this card, but you can see a sample with the embossing dies, by clicking here.

IMG_3182

The little label is made from one of the dies in the new Stitched Label framelits set. This is the same set that I've made all those little stitched hearts on previous cards that I've posted.

IMG_3180

I used tear tape to hold the ribbon in place which I wrapped around the whisper white cardstock. The pearls are from the Share What You Love pearl pack. They match perfectly with the pinks on this card.

I also used the new Itty Bitty Greetings for the verse on the front and stamped it in soft sea foam for a tone on tone look.

IMG_3181

Its definitely a soft and "serene" greeting card and perfect for a get well or sympathy card.

Thanks for taking a look.

Stampin Up Serene Garden in Coastal Cabana

The Serene Garden stamp set and coordinating dies are a pretty and elegant bundle. I chose to do this card in only two colors, whisper white and coastal cabana.

IMG_2979

The coordinating framlit dies, actually come with an embossing die as you can see in the bottom left of the card. These framelits are so cool and add an extra wow element to the card.

IMG_2981

This is a better photo. I didn't have a great focus or angle on the photo above. The dove and flowers were also stamped in coastal cabana and die cut. I attached them with dimensionals.

IMG_2980

This is such a simple and elegant card. The white polka dotted tulle adds a softening touch to this get well card.

Serene Garden is the perfect set for so many occasions, like, weddings, anniversaries, get well, thinking of you, sympathy and more.

I hope you liked my quick and easy coastal cabana card.

Stampin Up Peaceful Reflection stamp set

This photo of this set in the new Stampin Up catalog, doesn't do it much justice. Its really a sweet and lovely set. I won this set at the Stampin Up On Stage Convention and wasn't sure about it (because of the photo in the catalog) but once I inked it up, it really came to life!

I don't normally use this color combination. I'm not really a fan of green/orange together, but I stepped out of my box and just went with it!

IMG_2395

I used granny apple green (which I LOVE) poppy parade, grapefruit grove, pineapple punch and mossy meadow inks. I know, so crazy.... Oh and balmy blue for the water.

IMG_2397

The designer paper is from the new In Color paper pack and I also used whisper white, mossy meadow and granny apple green cardstocks. Can you see the grapefruit grove faceted dot on the dragonfly?

IMG_2394

The sentiment is from the new Itty Bitty Greetings set. This set took the place of the retired Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. I love all the great sentiments in this set.

IMG_2398

I tucked a small piece of the grapefruit grove ribbon under the main image to pull some of the orange from the dragonfly.

IMG_2399

The card looks even prettier when multiplied! I think its pretty pleasing to the eye, afterall. Maybe oranges and greens really do go together better than I thought!

Oh, one more thing about this lovely stamp set that is pretty cool. Its a "reflection" stamp set. What that means is that if you flip the photopolymer stamp face down on your acrylic block, it then becomes a reflection of the main image on the stamp.

Here's an example:

IMG_2487

How cool does that reflection look in the water? I simply flipped the stamp over on the block and stamped it upside down under the main image.

IMG_2410

The underneath of the stamp is flat with no detailed lines, so it gives a solid "reflection" of the image.

Here's another "reflection" card...

IMG_2491

Now we know why its called "Peaceful Reflection!"

Sailing away with Stampin Up's Lilypad Lake bundle

Summertime is finally here and I'm excited to be stamping with some brand new summery stamp sets.

The set that I used today is called Lilypad Lake. Its such a calming and peaceful stamp set, especially those tiny sailboats and soothing ripples of water.

IMG_2693

For this card I used whisper white, balmy blue, so saffron and coastal cabana cardstocks. I colored the sailboats with the same color Stampin Write Markers.

IMG_2696

You can see by this close up that I splattered some ink onto the background. I did this by dipping an aquapainter into some coastal cabana re-inker and tapping it above my cardstock to get the cool splatters.

IMG_2694

I love that there is a "Lakeside" coordinating framelit set to cut out the sun, waves and sailboats. It makes creating a breeze! I finished it off with a lemon lime twist ombre ribbon and a touch of white bakers twine.

IMG_2695

The sentiment is perfect for someone who is not feeling well or going through a difficult time in their lives.

I hope you liked todays Lilypad Lake greeting card.

Stampin Up Hold on to Hope Cross

This is such a beautiful stamp set. I also love all of the gorgeous framelits that come in the Cross of Hope framelit set.

I started making a card for Card Class, and then I just kept going. I really enjoyed making some lovely cards with this beautiful cross.

Here's the one we made at Card Class. The colors are soft sky and marina mist.

IMG_0691

I wrapped a piece of White Organza ribbon around the cross and secured it in front with a glue dot and in back with dimensionals.

IMG_0692

I also made a few more while I had the stamp set out. I loved making cards with these beautiful crosses!

IMG_0668

This card uses soft sky and wisteria wonder inks and cardstocks as well as silver foil paper.

I stamped the cross in wisteria wonder ink, directly on the soft sky cardstock. I also embossed the wisteria wonder cardstock with the new Petal Pairs emboss folder.

IMG_0669

I added a few rhinestone jewels to the cross and butterfly for extra sparkle.

IMG_0670

This card is made with so saffron and soft sky cardstock as well as the new Sweet Soiree designer series paper.

IMG_0679

Notice that I didn't pop the pieces out of the die cut cross this time. I left them in and placed dimensionals behind the cross to keep the pieces in place. I love this look!

IMG_0676

I wanted to show the shine on the foil paper and designer paper with this photo. I also added a Glitter dot to the middle of the cross.

IMG_0675

I used the Stitched Shape Framlits to cut the circles and ovals on the last two cards.

I have one more Hold on to Hope card to share with you this week, so stay tuned for that!

Simple, Southern Serenade Sympathy

Today I'm sharing a Southern Serenade sympathy card. I like to keep sympathy cards fairly simple, so this set worked perfectly for that reason.

The two main colors are the pool party and old olive Stampin Blends alcohol markers. I used a touch of bermuda bay light to shade the flowers as well. That's really all the color this simple card needed.

IMG_0697

I love that the Southern Serenade stamp set comes with a beautiful lace background stamp. I inked it in pool party for the background and stamped the flower over it in memento black ink.

IMG_0696

I added a few pearl jewels to the middle of the flowers for dimension.

The sentiment is from the Rose Wonder stamp set, one of my "go to" sentiment stamp sets.

IMG_0695

I hope you like this super simple, duplicatable card.

Thank you for visiting today.
