Easter Cards

How to - Stampin Up Best Bunny

I have a sweet card to share with you today. Its a super cute bunny card, made with the Best Bunny stamp set and coordinating Bunny Builder Punch.

I stamped the bunny in memento black ink and colored him with Stampin Blends alcohol markers. I colored the bunny before I punched him out. It makes it easier to manage and I don't have to hold little tiny pieces with my big fingers and try to color them.

I used soft subtle colors for both the bunny and the background of the card which is one of my favorite new colors, soft sea foam. The designer paper strip is from the Share What You Love designer paper pack.

First let me share a tip when punching out the bunny. I wanted to punch the bunny all at once and not in separate parts. To do that, I first used the bunny builder punch and punched out the image on a piece of scrap paper, like so:

IMG_4707

Next, I placed the photopolymer stamps in the punched holes that matched the stamp images- make sure you place the photopolymer stamps with the stamping side facing down. See below- these are the stamps, placed in the punched bunny spaces.

IMG_4705

Lastly, place a clear acrylic block over top of the photopolymer stamps and "pick them up" onto the block. They will now be in the exact position as to how the Bunny Builder punch with "punch" them out. * See photo of Bunny Builder Punch below, in the supply list- you'll see how the layout matches the punch exactly.

Ok, so back to the Best Bunny card. I used the light crumb cake Stampin Blends alcohol marker to color the entire fur of the bunny. I then shaded with the dark crumb cake marker. I did the same with the petal pink light and dark markers on the belly, cheeks and ears.

IMG_E5079

Notice the beautiful embossed background on the soft seafoam cardstock? The background was embossed with the "Subtle" emboss folder. Its so pretty and has a gorgeous "linen" look to it.

I added a rhinestone jewel and a couple self adhesive Basic Sequins to finish off the sweet bunny card.

I hope you enjoyed the card and the special Bunny Builder Punch "tip".

Bunny Bonus

One last bunny card from the "A Good Day" stamp set. How can I resist this cute little thing? So heres a quick post with the bunny again in different colors and a new layout.

I used the Petal Pairs "vines" emboss folder as well as the Naturally Eclectic designer paper for the split background.

IMG_1115

The colors used are wisteria wonder, whisper white and pool party.

I used the coordinating 1 1/8 and 1 3/8 scallop punches to layer the bunny as well as the Starburst punch in wisteria wonder.

IMG_1114

The sweet little embroidery hoops frame this little cutie so perfectly. I added the lovely smoky slate gingham ribbon to wrap it all up. Did you notice the tiny pearl on the pool party bow? How sweet is that?

IMG_1120

Just a note: the hoop stays on great with the tombow multi purpose glue and the ribbon has a soft shimmer to it that you can't she in the photo.

This was the Bonus card at Card Class and it sure was a huge it with the ladies. Hope you like it too!

One last Hold on to Hope card

As promised, this is the last Hold on to Hope card that I made a few days ago. I just adore this stamp set and framelits bundle.

As you can tell, I've been addicted to making quite a few cards with this bundle.

For this card, I used so saffron, old olive, wisteria wonder inks and cardstocks as well as silver foil paper.

I also used the Stitched Shapes Framelits on the background of this card.

IMG_0683

I love that the framelits set comes with this beautiful banner die that frames the "God is Love" verse, perfectly.

IMG_0682

I've also added a so saffron Glitter Dot in the middle of this beautiful silver cross.

Stampin Up Hold on to Hope Cross

This is such a beautiful stamp set. I also love all of the gorgeous framelits that come in the Cross of Hope framelit set.

I started making a card for Card Class, and then I just kept going. I really enjoyed making some lovely cards with this beautiful cross.

Here's the one we made at Card Class. The colors are soft sky and marina mist.

IMG_0691

I wrapped a piece of White Organza ribbon around the cross and secured it in front with a glue dot and in back with dimensionals.

IMG_0692

I also made a few more while I had the stamp set out. I loved making cards with these beautiful crosses!

IMG_0668

This card uses soft sky and wisteria wonder inks and cardstocks as well as silver foil paper.

I stamped the cross in wisteria wonder ink, directly on the soft sky cardstock. I also embossed the wisteria wonder cardstock with the new Petal Pairs emboss folder.

IMG_0669

I added a few rhinestone jewels to the cross and butterfly for extra sparkle.

IMG_0670

This card is made with so saffron and soft sky cardstock as well as the new Sweet Soiree designer series paper.

IMG_0679

Notice that I didn't pop the pieces out of the die cut cross this time. I left them in and placed dimensionals behind the cross to keep the pieces in place. I love this look!

IMG_0676

I wanted to show the shine on the foil paper and designer paper with this photo. I also added a Glitter dot to the middle of the cross.

IMG_0675

I used the Stitched Shape Framlits to cut the circles and ovals on the last two cards.

I have one more Hold on to Hope card to share with you this week, so stay tuned for that!

Stampin Up Bunny- Sweet Little Something stamp set

I was using my new Stampin Up Stamparatus tool (coming in June, if you didn't reserve yours early) and the Bunny from "Sweet Little Something" stamp set was the perfect 3 step stamp to practice with.

This bunny looks so real! I was in the mood to make something soft and sweet. So a baby card using pink pirouette and crumb cake inks and cardstocks was the perfect combination to go with the darling bunny stamp.

IMG_0363

I stamped the bunny in sahara sand, crumb cake and early espresso inks. It almost looks like I can feel the fluffy stuffed bunny's fur. It looks so soft and realistic.

I layered the bunny on a circle that I cut out with the Layering Circle Framelits in whisper white and pink pirouette cardstock. A doily was added to give the card dimension and texture as well as using the Cable Knit emboss folder in the background.

IMG_0364

A crumb cake ribbon and pink pirouette Enamel heart give the baby card a special touch. I used the verse from the Layering Love stamp set. I thought it was perfect for a baby card.

IMG_0365

Don't forget the inside... a tiny heart border in crumb cake ink.

I hope you like my Sweet Little Somethings card. Thanks for visiting today!

Easter Card sneak peek

Hello Stamping Friends! Are you ready for Easter yet? Its right around the corner and will be here before we know it.

So, today I'm sharing a little sneak peek of one of the cards that we will be making at my next Card Class.

I used the "Special Reason" stamp set and also the "Suite Sentiments" stamp set for the Easter greeting.

IMG_3869

I think these colors are perfect for Easter. I used sweet sugarplum, wisteria wonder and pear pizazz.

I simply stamped the images from large to small then added the greeting in basic gray archival ink.

For the middle of the flowers, I punched 1/2 and 3/4 inch circles from the blushing bride glimmer paper.

IMG_3870

Super simple and pretty as can be. Hope the ladies enjoy making this soft subtle, flowery Easter Card next week.
