First Frost stamp set

How about a Wedding Card with the First Frost Bundle...

Taking a break from Christmas Cards for a little bit and designing a pretty wedding card- (or anniversary, shower or birthday) instead.

I used the First Frost stamp set and thinlets. I love the colors on this card. So soft and pretty however, the colors somehow look like it could still be a wintery December wedding card.

I used soft seafoam, granny apple green, mossy meadow, lovely lipstick, powder pink and flirty flamingo inks and cardstock colors.

The "Subtle Emboss Folder" gives the background a beautiful linen look.

First Frost Never Disappoints

Sharing one of my favorite flower sets today. First Frost is available in the Stampin Up Holiday Catalog 2018.

I used the blackberry bliss ink for the flower image. It looks so pretty in this deep purple color. The coordinating Frosted Bouqet framelits and Frosted Floral designer paper make this the ultimate suite.

IMG_5330

I also used tranquil tide, and mossy meadow colors for the greens.

IMG_5335

To complete the look, I did some fun splattering by dipping my aqua painter into blackberry bliss ink and tapping it over my card.

IMG_5331

A few pearls and gems to add dimension and sparkle and viola!

Stampin Up First Frost Wreath

There are so many lovely possibilites with the First Frost stamp set and dies. For this card, I decided to make a wreath as the focal point of my card.

I used night of navy and mint macaron cardstock as well as the Frosted Floral designer paper. This paper has a pearlized shimmer all over. It is stunning. So hard to catch it in a photo, though.

IMG_5342

I used the large Stitched Circle Framelit in very vanilla as my "guide" and placed the foliage all around it.

The ink colors are night of navy, blackberry bliss and blushing bride.

IMG_5341

I placed a matching pearl, rhinestone or gem in the middle of each flower for a little more sparkle, than tied it with a night of navy gingham ribbon across the bottom.

IMG_5340

Such a sweet card for a wedding, graduation, new job or birthday card.

Have you bought this set yet? Its so gorgeous, and the shading of the stamps is perfect- one ink stamping and wow, 2-3 shades in one!

Stampin' Up! First Frost Stamp Set- Simple & Elegant

One of my favorite suites in the New Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog is the First Frost suite. It is simply, gorgeous in every way.

The stamp set, framelits as well as the beautiful shimmery designer paper is breath-taking.

I've designed a card that is really very easy to make, yet looks so elegant.

IMG_5320

I used blackberry bliss, mossy meadow, soft seafoam, and tranquil tide inks. I also used tranquil tide and soft seafoam cardstock as well.

IMG_5322

Here's a look at the way I stamped the card before adding the greeting and the die cut rose.

IMG_5336

I stamped the 3 flowers first, starting with the middle one, then stamped the soft seafoam stems, and mossy meadow ferns.

IMG_5317

For the splatter, I dipped an aqua painter brush into a few drops of tranquil tide re-inker and tapped the barrel of the aqua painter over the cardstock until I achieved the desired effect. I also added the new Frosted Droplets and a couple Faceted Dots.

IMG_5319

It really was so easy to create and I even did a little die cutting for the tag and rose.

IMG_5321

I created this card for a swap and will also be using a version of it at my next Card Class.

IMG_5337

Here's a whole bunch of beautiful First Frost cards, ready to be sent to the post office!

IMG_5316

I'm so glad the blackberry bliss was brought back- aren't you?
