Christmas Cookie Exchange and Fun Reindeer Treats

Last year, you may remember that I participated in my friend Deb's amazing cookie exchange. However, this year, her exchange was so popular that I didn't have time to make all the cookies that it required. So sad to have missed it. But, as it turned out another friend asked me to participate in her exchange and I really didn't think I could squeeze it in. Well, it ended up that I only had to make 7 dozen cookies, so I managed to get them done at the very last minute. Whew. So, I thought I would share again this year, what I made.

IMG_7310

These are called Neiman Marcus cookies. They are a combination of oatmeal, chocolate chips, and walnuts. Of course I had to make a cute package to put them in.

IMG_7308

Since I love the Candy Cane Season stamp set and punch, I thought it would be perfect for these sweet treats. I also used large cellophane bags which I had from my Stampin' Up retired stash.

IMG_7306

I thought the tag turned out pretty cute. The colors are poppy parade and garden green and I attached it with a cute gold clip.

IMG_7307

The cookie exchange was a huge success and my friend Missy did a fabulous job as hostess. She's so fun and creative. Thanks for inviting me to participate, Missy!

Well, speaking of Missy... she later posted some adorable reindeer bark on her facebook page and knowing that my friend Megan was going to make bark for her finance's secretaries at work, I showed her Missy's cute reindeer bark. Well, needless to say, Megan whipped some of the cute bark up with the help of her mom and I helped her make the same cute tags for her bark.

Here she is in her darling polka dotted apron and her first tray of peppermint bark.

IMG_7477

Add some chocolate reindeer and it becomes the cutest bark you've ever seen!

IMG_7481

She packaged it up in these cute bags.

IMG_7492

I think her fiance's office will be full of smiles when they receive this yummy and thoughful treat!

IMG_7493

Speaking of crafting... We had craft night at my house the night before and made more of the clothespin wreaths that I posted about last week. Megans mom, Tracy, gave her the wreath she made at my house that night. Isn't it so pretty?

IMG_7491

Lori and Bj also made awesome wreaths that night. As usual I got caught up in all the fun we were having and forgot to take group pictures while we were making them, so I asked them to send me pictures of their wreaths.

Lori's wreath:

I made a Valentine clothespin wreath but I'm not quite finished with it. I'll post it after Christmas. Its made with the new Valentine designer paper and its so pretty. Here's a link to how I made my wreaths: click here

Lots of baking and crafting still going on here, trying to finish up for next week. Hope you are enjoying all the fun preparations during this special holiday season.

Treat Box from Mrs. Santa

I loved making these darling treat boxes for my team this year. I used the Stampin Up Acetate Card boxes and simply cut them in half (while they were flat) at 3" with my paper trimmer. These remind me of the old cassette tape boxes, way back in the day.

I used the Signs of Santa stamp set and dies. The dies are sold out but the stamp set is still available until the end of the month (at least for now)

IMG_7351

I measured the box to get the size to cut the poppy parade cardstock. The box is 41/2" x 41/2" then I scored at 3" and 3 1/2" so that it slide into the box and had a little flap.

IMG_7352

I also used some garden green cardstock embossed with the Maps Etc. emboss folder. The circles were cut with the Layering Circle Framelits dies.

IMG_7353

Aren't they just so cute? I used velcro to hold the flap closed. Do you want to see what I put inside?

IMG_7347

Found these Christmas Kit Kats that fit perfectly inside. I also stuffed some metallic pearls and peppermint candy inside for my team members.

IMG_7349

I made lots to hand out as small gifts to friends and family as well. These are great for gift cards and lottery tickets too!

IMG_7350

IMG_7348

I will definitely be making these again for other holidays and occasions. They are so much fun to make and look so darn cute!

Gifts with "Nothing Sweeter" stamp set

I made some fancy gift packaging for some special team members that attended the Stampin Up "On Stage" Convention with me this week. I made one for each of my directs.

I used the Nothing Sweeter stamp set and dies. I also used the Shimmery White Embossing Paste with glitter to spread on the Christmas Trees.

IMG_6131

I formed the box,  by cutting one of the Stampin Up Acetate Card boxes- while it was flat. I cut it about 3 1/4" down from the top and then slipped the top lid over the bottom to the size of box that I wanted.

IMG_5948

I used lots of layers. The Stitched Labels framelits was used to cut the Sparkle Glimmer Paper, then layered with powder pink and sahara sand cardstock.

IMG_6132

I also used some Rose Thread and the new Iridescent Boxwood Wreaths wrapped around the tree image.

IMG_6141

I filled the boxes with some Stampin Up bling and a few treats as well as a gift card.

IMG_6139

I love all the sparkle. It makes it so special, just like the girls who received them.

IMG_6133

I have to say there were lots of dimensionals used on this project!

IMG_6137

My favorite color is pink... I hope they like it too!

IMG_6142

I can't wait to celebrate with my team! Hope they enjoy the goody box!

Fun Fold - Gift Card Holder

I used the super cute, Smitten Mitten set to make this awesome gift card holder for Christmas.

The small mittens hold the flap closed and when opened, it exposes the little pocket inside to hold a special gift card.

I used the Christmas Quilt designer paper from the Stampin Up Holiday Catalog as well as a touch of red glimmer paper to make the gift card holder sparkle.

IMG_1965

The card is 4 1/4" x 11. I scored the card at 4 1/4" then 9 3/4". The bottom flap folds up and I attached the two die cut mittens with mini dimensionals. The top flap tucks in under the mittens to hold the card closed.

Here's the inside. I used tear tape on the far edges of the bottom flap, so that a gift card can be easily tucked inside.

IMG_1966

Did you notice the red rhinestone gems? I colored our basic rhinestone with the Stampin' Blends cherry cobbler marker. These markers are permanent and can be used on non porous surfaces. SO cool!

IMG_1967

We made this card at this months Card Class and the ladies loved it!

You should give it a try!

My Talented Team and their Fabulous Swaps and 3-D Creations

I want to share my teams swaps from our Christmas Party with you. The theme was gift packaging. Some of the girls made boxes and others did gift card holders. They were all very cute!

This adorable little gift box was made by Sue Brennan. She used the "Bella and Friends" stamp set to decorate the front of the box.

IMG_E2085

This gift card holder was made by Tauni Caylor- its got a little surprise inside... wait for it...

IMG_E2089

How cute is this?? (inside) Wait for it.....

Another cute gift box made with the Santa's Suit stamp set, by Teresa Fisher

IMG_E2090

Birthday packages that I made with the new Silver Gable boxes from the upcoming Occasions Catalog 2018.

IMG_2019

This is the coolest gift card holder... Its a "zipper card" made by Lori Wiest. Pull the tab and it unzips the card to reveal a gift card inside. I don't have instructions, but I'm sure it can be "googled."

IMG_E2091

We have so much talent on our #1 Stampers team. Speaking of talent, Heidi Carr brought some of her fabulous creations to share with us that night. Take a look at some of these over the top, amazing cards that Heidi made.

Christmas Party Favors and Gifts

I had our annual Christmas Party for my #1 Stampers team last night. I'll share lots of photos of the party later this week, but I wanted to share the favors and gifts that each attendee received.

I used the Stampin Up Pizza Boxes to package the party favors and gifts for each team member.

These boxes are small white pizza shaped boxes in the Holiday Catalog. However, I "painted" the boxes red to fit the Christmas theme. I got this idea from a gift I received at the Stampin' Up Convention, from my friend Lynsay Mahon. See Lynsays blog here.

This is the box that Lynsay gave me:

IMG_2017

I loved Lynsay's design and especially the fact that she colored the pizza box. Lynsay explained that she filled a Stampin' Up Spritzer with water and added 10-15 drops of re-inker. Then lightly sprayed the boxed before she assembled it, and rubbed in the color with a paper towel. So, I tried it and my boxes came out perfectly! Thanks Lynsay!

IMG_1956

I used a Stampin Blends marker in old olive to color the pearl. Did you know that our Stampin' Blends could color non- porous surfaces?

IMG_1955

I used the Christmas Around the World designer paper to decorate the boxes, as well as the mini tinsel trim in silver. A 2 1/4" circle punch was used to punch the sparkly red glimmer paper on the front of the box.

IMG_1958

Inside, I covered Ghirardelli Chocolates with 3" x 1 1/2" Christmas Around the World designer paper strips.

IMG_1954

But, that's not all- I also created a Christmas shaker magnet for each of the girls as well.

IMG_1953

Keeping with the red and green color scheme, I used the holly and berries from the Tags and Trimmings stamp set in the Holiday Catalog. I added some sparkle with red glimmer paper as well as the Stampin Up Metallic Sequins.

IMG_1951

I used Foam Strips and Acetate Window sheets to create the shaker. I also used the 2 1/4", 1 3/4" and 3/4" punches for all the circles. Then I simply glued a small circular magnet on the back with Multi purpose glue. Its difficult to see, but I also glued a piece of the real red tinsel trim around the circle to cover the foam strip around the outside of the circle.

IMG_1952

I loved making these Christmas magnets for my girls. I hope they loved them too!

IMG_1948

Here's a peek inside the box: The ink spots are a new item in the soon to be released Stampin' Up Occasions Catalog!

IMG_1960

I'll have more crafty cards and projects to share from the Christmas party, so be sure to check back soon!
