Humming Bird in Flight

I've got another hummingbird card to share. I've been using this set a LOT lately. I love to color, so I guess this is right up my alley. Its actually very easy to color. I googled "hummingbirds" and found many different color combinations on these unique little birds.

Orange and blue are complimentary colors, so I used balmy blue and calypso coral for my color inspiration here.

I colored the bird with Stampin Blends alcohol markers in smoky slate, old olive, balmy blue and calypso coral. Check out how cute the little Frosted Flower Embellishments are on this card- I added a Share What You Love Pearl to the middle of the flowers as well.

A little bit of Gingham designer paper and its ready to mail!

Stampin Up Humming Along bundle

The Humming Along bundle in the Stampin Up Catalog is a gorgeous hummingbird and hibiscus set. Speaking of hibiscus flowers... I'm soon to be in Hawaii, for a Stampin Up presentation that I am doing for my friend Cindy Baughman and the Stamped with Aloha team. I may already be there when this posts. I know this is one of Cindys favorite flowers, and I'm looking forward to seeing a few in person!

I used some bright and sunny Stampin Blends alcohol markers to color the images. Mango Melody, pool party, highland heather, granny apple green, pumpkin pie and bermuda bay colors worked beautifully on this card.

The new Crackle Paint background stamp in mango melody ink, added the perfect background without competing with the images.

I think this bright and sunny greeting card would make anyone feel better, don't you?
