Valentines

Valentine Cards - Part Two

I've got a few more Valentine cards for you today. As I mentioned yesterday, these cards are from swaps that I participated in with other Stampin' Up demonstrators around the country.

I picked out a few of my favorites to share with you. I'm sure you'll love them as much as I do!

The first card was made by Genieve Ko, from Canada. I love the simple elegance of this card. The silver embossing really makes the greeting stand out against the real red cardstock. See her blog here.

This gorgeous card was made by one of my team members, Darlene Nanni. I love all the special details that Darlene added to this card, right down to the gold foil arrows. I'm in "love" with this amazing card. Click here to view Darlene's blog.

This card could not only be a Valentine card, but it also looks like  beautiful wedding card to me. It also kind of reminds me of a tuxedo. Jan McClurg did a great job designing this Valentine.

The last card that I'll share today was made by me. This was one of my make n take cards that I designed for my team meeting a couple of months ago. I used the Pop of Pink washi tape over a piece of whisper white cardstock and then die cut it with the Sweet and Sassy framelits. I also used the gold foil sheets to cut the circle with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I love, love, love these framelits. I pretty much use them on everything, lately.

Well, that's all for my Valentine favorites. I hope you all got some great ideas for making your Valentine cards ..(if you haven't already made them all)

Thanks for stopping by!

Until the next time...

Valentines Day Cards

I promised to post some of the Valentines that I made and that I received from other demonstrators around the country. I hosted and was part of a few swaps with several of my demonstrator friends and I received some really great cards.

I've picked out some of my favorites to share with you. I will post a few today and a few tommorrow.

The first one is made by Tonya Beatty. Tonya is a very talented demonstrator on my team. I love how she used the tiny envelopes from the Sealed with Love Bundle. Check out the new tiny paper clips- they come in three different colors. Aren't they so cute!

IMG_3471

This card was made by my friend, Dawn Griffith. She's one of my favorite stampers for sure. This cute card fold is everywhere- and very popular. I actually received 3 cards in my various swaps, with this same fold! I also posted a Cool Treats card with this fold last week. You can check out Dawn's blog here.

This adorable card was made by Shari Lackey. I love all the beautiful layers on this Happy Valentines Day card.

IMG_3472

Another one of my very favorite Valentine cards, was made by Patsy Waggoner. The Sending Love designer paper, says love, love, love and I sure do love this card. Patsy actually set up my blog for me. You can click here to visit Patsy's blog.

Last but not least, I've got a valentine card that was made by me. I used Foxy Friends stamp set and the Fox Builder punch to make a sweet little raccoon for this special valentine.

I hope you enjoyed all the pretty hand stamped "love" cards. I'll post more tomorrow, so be sure to stop back.

Until then...

Card Class - Cuties and Cards

Its always a pleasure to stamp with the card class crew. Its a great time to not only stamp with all the new Occasions products but to see all the new sample cards and to catch up from our Christmas break.

Here's Deb, Sharon and Judy. Such a fun bunch of happy stampers!

IMG_3147

The ladies seemed to really love this "Beautiful You" card. They loved the colors of soft sky and blushing bride together. The new "Falling Petals" emboss folder received a lot of compliments as well.

IMG_3088

This is Sue and Liz making a cute Valentine. It's Sale A Bration and Stampin Up has a great sign up special, so of course Sue had to take advantage of getting an extra 2 free stamp sets of her choice for signing up tonight. I think that's why she's smiling from ear to ear in this photo.

IMG_3141

Here's the sweet Valentine they are working on. This was made with the "Love Sparkles" stamp set in the New Occasions Catalog 2017.

IMG_3084

Marcia and Patty are concentrating on finishing the cute hot air balloon card, made with the "Lift Me Up" stamp set.

IMG_3142

We used soft sky, rich razzleberry and dapper denim inks and cardstock for this uplifting card.

IMG_3086

Marjie and Janice cranking up some fun at the big shot station. This was Janice's first time stamping and she loved every minute of it!

Be sure to come back soon to see the bonus project that we did that night.

Sneak Peek- New Stampin Up Occasions Catalog

As promised, I have a sneak peek of some new  2017 Occasions Catalog products. The Catalog goes live on January 4th!

I designed a Valentine card with some new fun stuff! You all know how much I love making Valentines. I guess I just love the hearts and pretties.

For this card I used the new stamp set "Love Sparkles." I stamped the word love in versamark ink and then embossed it with the new "real red" glitter embossing powder.

IMG_2662

I also used the new "Falling Petals" emboss folder. I turned the folder upside down so that it looked like falling hearts instead of falling petals. Take a look at the new "Sending Love" designer paper. Its 48 6x6 sheets of eight double sided designs. So pretty!

IMG_2661

Don't you just love how the red glimmer paper matches the sparkle of the real red glitter embossing powder?

IMG_2659

I made a bunch of these for a demonstrator swap that I participated in.

Start thinking about what you'll make for Valentine's this year. Its not too far away. There are lots of great ideas and products to choose from in the New Occasions Catalog. You're going to love it!

Christmas Party - continued

I want to share one of the other Make n Takes that we did at our #1 Stampers Christmas Party. Its a very cool Valentine's Day card.

I mentioned the other day that I took a little break from making Christmas crafts, and I also wanted to give my team a fun card to design in preparation for the upcoming romantic holiday.

I created this card with the Pop of Pink washi tape, the Sweet and Sassy framelits and also the new Stitched Shapes framelits.

IMG_2424

I also used the Happy Heart emboss folder, but I turned it backwards and its still looks super cool.

The gold foil paper looks awesome with the Stiched Shape framelits die. Its a little harder to see, but I also used the Stitched Framelits on the basic black cardstock as well.

IMG_2425

To make the washi tape heart, I simply cut a 2" x 2" square of whisper white cardstock and covered it with the Pop of Pink washi tape. I then die cut the heart with the Sweet and Sassy framelits. ... and viola!

IMG_2428

A small strip of melon mambo stitched ribbon, a sweet verse from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and the Valentine is complete.

IMG_2427

I'll be back to share some fun Christmas ornaments... so come back to check them out.

Until the next time....

Valentines Already?

During December, Kim's Card Class, switches it up a bit. We've been making Christmas cards and projects for so long- since September, so I take a little break and add a Valentines card to the mix.

Its always a welcome change to all the Christmas trees and jingle bells and santas that we've been creating over the past 3 months.

The card that we made is the standard Valentines day colors. I love, love, love the reds, black, white and grays together on this card. The only thing its missing is pink!

IMG_2489

Crisp clean lines and fun embossed hearts make me happy. Real red glimmer paper, basic black, whisper white and basic gray always look great together and can be either masculine or feminine, which is a big plus!

A little sparkle with the red glimmer paper and a Sweet A Sassy framelits die cut heart, make my heart smile. The stamp set is Watercolor Words, stamped in basic gray archival ink. I've added some black metalic thread behind the heart and of course the Happy Hearts emboss folder adds that wow factor on this special valentine card.

IMG_2488

I know its Christmas time, but Valentines Day will be here before we know it!

Until then...
